View from J32 in the Upper Circle

I saw Back to the Future the Musical, and I was absolutely blown away! Not only was the show amazing, but the venue was awesome too! The lobby was decorated to immerse you in the story as soon as you step inside. There was a bar, gift shop, and toilets available on each of the three levels of the theatre. My seat was in row J of the upper circle, and I was informed before the show that it was a partially restricted view. Directly in front of the seat was a safety rail that made it difficult to see the stage for parts of the performance. If you are shorter, I would recommend sitting towards the front of the upper circle.

I landed up here because I discovered that somebody had decided to turn Back to the Future into a stage musical. Well, it didn't take all that much to convince me that I should, well, go and see it, which is basically what I did. The theatre isn't bad, though it is fairly typical of London theatres. Mind you, as far as I'm aware, most people go to the theatre for the play, and not the theatre, so whether it is good or bad is really a moot point. However, it is close to the station, but then again it is central London meaning that pretty much everything is close to a station.

Back to the future, the musical, was an absolute blast. The stage designs and set changes were amazing too. 5 stars, loved it.

My BF took me here for "Back To The Future" musical for my birthday. Our seats were in the Stall section in row V and view of the stage was good. The musical was based on the original movie and it was very enjoyable musical to watch. The stage effects were amazing! Highly recommend to come to watch "Back To The Future" at Adelphi Theatre.

I was hesitated about the show because back to the future is so famous and worried that they would ruin it. But surprisingly the musical is very well done. The stage effect is perfect and the show is very energetic and upbeat. A little problem with the sound system at some group singing part the music is too loud that can't hear the vocal but most of the things are very good. A lot of dancing and singing. Kids friendly. Seats are very comfortable, I'm on the second row and have a great view of the whole stage. Front row seats also gets a treats at the ending but I'm not going to spoil it here

It's a dream come true to see a musical in London. Upon entering the west end, just about anyone will feel that Broadway magic and be tempted to book a show. We came to the Adelphi Theatre to see Waitress and loved every second. The historic theatre is gorgeous and decked out in red velvet seats. They were serving apple pie cocktails (among any other drinks) and mini apple pies in the lobby to gear up for the show. So fun! They even served mini ice creams in the theatre during intermission. The show was such a blast and there was so much talent on the stage. We got our tickets about two weeks ahead of time and were surprised that they were decently priced (and cheaper than nyc). Such a fun night! Crossing that off the bucket list!

    Seeing the Waitress! Excellent show

Saw The Waitress Musical here at the Adelphi Theatre and had an incredible time. If you've never seen the Waitress and are contemplating about going, DO IT! It was an incredible show and Katharine McPhee is just so damn talented, and not to mention stunningly beautiful. As for the theater itself, it's a nice setup with a great view of the stage from just about any seat. The theater is relatively small but still has enough seating to accommodate a fairly large crowd. There are three different levels and each one has a food concession stand available if you're hungry. The seats aren't the most comfortable and the spaces are a bit tight but it's nothing unbearable. It looks like they've been maintaining the theater well because it was really clean and appeared to be in excellent condition for its' age. The staff attendants are very helpful and they are quick to direct you to your seats. When the show was finished, I was surprised to find that there was a separate exit that led us right to the Covent Garden. Adelphi Theatre is best known for its' production of Kinky Boots. I have yet to see it, but I'm hoping to one day in the future. All in all, Adelphi is a beautiful theatre that puts on a ton of amazing musicals, comedy shows, and plays. You will have a great time watching your performance here.

Saw Kinky Boots here and had seats on the orchestra level. The show was brilliant, funny, and the actors incredible! The sound system was excellent as was the staging! The theater itself doesn't seem have a bad seat as that seats in the orchestra section are staggered so that you aren't directly behind someone making it easy to not have obstructed views from the person in front of you. I also like that they have a ladies room right there in the theatre, so you don't have to go out to lobby. The staff here were excellent from picking up the tickets to being directed to my seat to the ushers being conversational during intermission. Right off the Strand, so it is in the midst of everything and close to a lot of restaurants and bars. Great location and great theatre!

Quaint little theater that provides an intimate experience between the cast and audience. You really can't go wrong with the seating. I came here to watch Waitress the musical and it was hilarious! The performance was really well done and, quite frankly, the American accents made me feel right at home. Problem is, I did feel the urge to grab a pie after the show but I'll save that for another time. The venue was easy to navigate and the staff were very friendly. In fact, the gentleman at the front selling champagne shared the same name as me and we struck up an immediate conversation. Good times all around.

What a great little theatre this is. My sister and I wanted to take in a musical/play of sorts and found Kinky Boots was playing. We had seen a poster as we walked in Edinburgh so it was already on my mind. We were not disappointed. We ordered our tickets online, and had to get into the line that provides hard copy tickets because this place does not have electronic scanning functions apparently. No matter. We found our seats and fully enjoyed the show. There are concession stand treats available, but I do not know who the genius is who thought super crunchy loud chips should be an offering for a play. My sister started half a crunch on one and with a glance from me and others she silently allowed it to soften over time in her mouth to absorb it. Would recommend this theatre for it's quaintness and charm. Pro Tip: Pay attention to the seating availability online. If the circle is half colored there is something wrong with the seat. Thankfully we noticed what that meant and got good seats for what we paid.

Scored a couple of last minute tickets to Kinky Boots. We were Center Dress Circle and had a pretty decent view. Unfortunately these had to be the most uncomfortable seats I had all week. Low to the ground, tight to the seat in front, and narrow. I'm bumping from a three to a four star because the show was good making us forget our lack of comfort.

    Michael F.

My friend and I saw Kinky Boots here and enjoyed the performance. As far as the theatre itself, it was a bit cramped. The acoustics were good, however. It's a small venue, so you are very close to the other audience. The people behind us took off their shoes, and the area around us started to smell like malt vinegar with putrid cheese. Nasty! Stinky feet while watching Kinky Boots! Not a good combination. Some of the staff members were also not very pleasant especially one of the girls selling the souvenirs. I was less than amused. Great show though!

    Tiffany H.

Such a great theatre, we visited to watch kinky boots on the west end and it was amazing. It's not too big, we sat fairly near the stage and there was no problem with the view at all. It is also very easy to access the stage door behind so you can meet the cast very easily. The show was absolutely brilliant and recommended it to so many fiends

It had to be done LOL

In this case, the show aged well, and the props and costumes have clearly had time and money invested as this was the best rendition of Phantom I've seen to date. There was fire, light effects, great structures and hidden trapdoors, fake balconies, even a mysterious Houdini chair (no spoilers) and the production of Phantom here is clearly worth the full house it had tonight. Standing ovation at the end and tons of fun souvenirs to takeaway memories of the show. I sat in A21, center of the front row of balcony, and the view was perfect, showing just the bottom of the stage up. If I leaned forward, I could see into the pit which the ground floor seats could not. All the music was played by the incredible orchestra in the pit, Four private boxes at the front sides were filled with two persons each, which could be a fun return trip. I hope to definitely be back for another viewing some day. Incredible!

I was so excited to be there for one of the previews of 'Other Desert Cities' and curious as to how that would work with the theatre having just been reconfigured to 'in the round'. It actually worked very well, and while we in the upper level, I can imagine it would be particularly interesting to be in the seats that were vitrually part of the set. I think I spied Melvin Bragg Down there. Who-ever it was he seemed to enjoy the show as much as us. OK perhaps it wasn't what I would call must-see theatre but it had a little something for everyone, and despite its dark nature in places, we had plenty of knowing belly laughs too. Since press night its been garnering a solid four stars. Perhaps because the show was in preview we were able to bag reasonably priced tickets at the box office direct. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we popped in the day before to check on availability. If there was a down-side it was that the seats were uncomfortable and the leg room very cramped, and thats coming from someone who is just 5ft & 2 inches! My companion had another foot on me and found the cramped seating a distraction from the show. Perhaps the more expensive seats are more comfortable. Wish everywhere had seats as cosy and roomy as The National Theatre! Conveniently located just along the road from Waterloo station for tube, rail and taxis.

We had an amazing time, but my god this place sticks to the 'original' Alice = totally mind altering! Located in Waterloo Vaults, you first enter into a bar and merchandise area, at which point you're asked to check your coat and bag in. There is a bar available but, having been to Cubana for a happy hour cocktail beforehand, we were just ready to get started. This is also the opportunity to pre-order your drinks for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party if you so wish - white or red wine, or a gin and cucumber cocktail at £5 a pop. The experience itself is hard to describe, partly because there's just so much going on your brain can hardly comprehend and partly because I don't want to ruin anything for those who want to attend in the near future. Four different stories unfold alongside one another, culminating in a huge court scene with the ferocious queen and interspersed with all the well known characters. The Mad Hatter's Tea Party was a personal favourite (and not just for the opportunity to sit down!) - the characters are all very well played, the right balance between scary and comfortingly familiar. Plus the look on people's faces when the scene begins again is something of a picture...worth swotting up if you want to know what's to come! The final bar is where you can revel in the success of escaping this twisting world, with a brilliant little band, bar and hot food available. There's a maze and some flamingo croquet for activities, and plenty of alcohol available. You can re-enter this area throughout its run this summer with your SUIT card, issued earlier in the evening, and worth visiting if you know someone who possess something so powerful. Why four stars? Giving in our bags as recommended rendered us purse-less, so that last area was a bit of a let down - once you exit, there's no re-entry on the day, so it was a quick nose around and then out again. Coming out at £50 a ticket, you'd also think that perhaps that the tea party drink could be on the house. Whether you go for 'eat me' or 'drink me', I recommend the Alice's Adventures Underground Experience. Just, please, don't eat the jam tarts!

So, my Wife tried to book two tickets for Saturday Night Fever at the Peacock Thearte for the performance on the evening of the 20 February 2022. Upon visiting their site she notice a block of three front row seats available so she proceeded to book two of the three seats available. She booked one of the two seats but when she tried to book the seat next to the one she had booked she found that system was not letting her do so. Frustrated with this she when out of the booking system and refreshed her browser. Upon going back into the booking system she clicked on the first seat she had booked it and was not showing as available any longer. She then thought well that seat has now gone and successfully booked the other two remaining seats. She went to the secure checkout and paid for the tickets. Within minutes of making the booking she received notification from her bank that Thearte Tickets Direct had debited the cost of all three tickets from her account. She immediately emailed Thearte Tickets Direct advising them of the error within tens minutes of receiving the notification of debit from her bank. She received a very abrupt email the next day from a Nandeep Vyas advising that it was now 'impossible' to issue a refund for the third ticket even though it was probably a glitch in their booking system. We have perused the one star reviews here and would tend to agree with the consensus of opinion expressed therein that the customer service is appalling and that they are potentially scamming consumers. We fully intend to drag the matter through the Small Claims Court for a princely sum of £35 to issue on these people, and have them explain their T&Cs to the court is well worth it, and we will publish the outcome here, win or lose. We have also written to the Chief Executive of the Peacock Theatre outlining our dissapointment in the way in which this company represent the theatres who allow them to sell tickets for their shows on their behalf.

We were down in the stalls and there are no pillars or other such construction in the middle of the hall, so none of the seats were "restricted view" I'd bought discounted tickets on Time Out and that is always a risk, since you do not know until you've picked up your tickets in the day of the show, what seats are going to be allocated to you. But at the Peacock, that risk is minimised - due to the afore mentioned absence of "restricted view" seats. Temperatures were comfortable throughout. There were cafeterias on both floors (stalls and circle), but we had just had dinner before the show, so we didn't brave the crowds milling around to check it out. They do have a lift for the disabled to use, so access is not an issue, even though the elevator is very slow. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think they have some kind of tie-up with Sadler Wells as they seem to have a lot of their shows coming up.
