This is my main financial place of business. I have used them for over fifty years. I do recommend them for financial advice and services.

I went to my local branch in Sanford FL to deposit some cash into my savings account and the teller (Daniel) advised me that there was an interest earning option that I didn't know of. He was very helpful in getting the money into an account that is earning some interest. Thank you for the wonderful service which I would not get at a big bank. Love my credit union! read more

my boyfriend has been banking with addition, when it used to be CFE, for almost 20 years. yesterday they abruptly closed his checking account with zero explanation?! i have to take him into the bank in person today, leaving work early, for there to be any kind of answer or resolution. pretty sure he'll pull out all of his money and go to a new bank where he will maybe get better treatment. it's so sad that we now expect crappy customer service and bad deals like they're just part of the process. that should not be the case. read more

Update 3.8.22 There bill pay system must be outsources. It is the most bizarre system I've every encountered. Here's how the new system works: (1) You have a automatic payment entered. (2) They send the check the day you request, but they estimate an arrive date of between 7-10 days. (3) Unlike UCF Federal Credit Union and CFE Credit Union protocols, Addition's bill pay operators only withdraw the money when the checks are cashed and not when the checks are written like normal banking. (4) Now, you have no idea what your balance is until you sit down a write out the number of check and amounts sent. So it's like having the old fashion write it in your check book. This defeats the purpose of digital delivery. (5) So, you never quite know what your balance is with Addition. Update 5.20.21 Yelpers you are not going to believe this one! I just got a call fm Addition Financial Mortg. dept. Why? You paid your mortgage in advance by 2-months. That's a problem... I typically paid my mortg. for summer when I recv'd my defer. ck fm my district, but since addition took over its been one headache after another. You read more

Have been locked out of my online banking for over a week and still can't get me to IT until Monday. Their online bill pay is awful. Even though I set up to pay well in advance payments still go out late. I have been with them for a few years and lots of issues with on line services. Wouldn't recommend them. read more

Staff is friendly but that's the only benefit here. Everything takes forever and the person I've been working with on a loan application appears to be her first loan. I had to go in person into the branch to initiate a small loan request- which wasted an hour and a half of my time. In 2020? There's no way to apply online?? Its now been 5 days and still no credit decision- this is for a small business loan under the threshold which doesn't require all the backup documentation. I do not recommend this bank. There are so many others that are more efficient. It's just too frustrating to work with them. read more

I have been a member of this awful, unprofessional, unethical, bank for 10 years. I am a graduate student and have received TWO physical student loan checks that I have deposited through the ATM at Forest City. The first check was deposited without signature (which I deposit ALL my checks). It was okay. A couple of days ago, I deposited my second check which was $1000 LESS than the first one (BOTH student loan checks were deposited without a signature). For the second check, they released $1000 and put the remaining balance on hold, which is common and expected. With this $1000, I immediately paid off my credit card. Today, I checked my account, and my credit card payment is being credited to my account my student loan check was refused because I did NOT sign the check. The note said NON-NEGOTIABLE and upon further investigation, MY check will be sent back to me in TEN DAYS!!! I have a problem!!! How will my credit card payment be covered if they refused the check and gave me ZERO notice? I called "customer service" and spoke with a VERY unhelpful and unprofessional representative. She told me she had to "briefly" put me on hold while she investigated it. OVER 10 MINUTES LATER she comes back on the line and gave me the info I already knew (non-negotiable, 10 days later, etc). This unprofessional tactic of placing me on hold was to "show me" who was in control and not anything about "customer service" or helping me. I told them I would go up and get MY check at Forest City, don't mail it. (This was an hour or so after this unethical game began with them posting the check to my account). Well, that's not how it works - that would be too easy!! The outcome? I get to WAIT 10 DAYS for MY check to be sent back to me! After MANY unprofessional and unethical business practices, I'm done! I have put off closing my account before because I did not want the hassle of changing banks, but this is my motivation. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADDITION CREDIT UNIONS!! I cannot say it enough!!! I would give a -10 rating if that were a choice!! They are a PATHETIC, WORTHLESS, UNETHICAL bank!!! read more

The sorry excuse for a credit union discriminated and racial profiled me. I have been a member of addition financial for three years and have always maintained a good standing with my account. However, on 01/06/25, I deposited a check from the Department of Revenue, which was a legitimate payment. To my dismay, every encounter with the staff here was rude and unpleasant unprofessional and distasteful and was informed that there were concerns regarding the authenticity of the check. I was told that if the check were to be deemed fake, it would result in serious consequences for me. While I understand that financial institutions have protocols in place to mitigate fraud, I believe that the treatment I received was influenced by my race. During the two-week verification process, I felt that my character and integrity were unjustly questioned solely based on the fact that I am a Black man depositing a large check. This experience not only caused me significant stress but also made me feel marginalized and disrespected. Ultimately, I was informed that my account would be closed due to the inability to verify the check. This decision is particularly troubling given my history as a responsible account holder and the lack of clear communication regarding the specific reasons for the closure. Especially given the fact that when the department of veterans affairs was notified they were unsure as to why because the check was valid. read more

The worst bank I have ever dealt with and been with them since 2010. O would not recommend CFE now additions to anyone. They would not give me a one time courtesy for a NSF fee. Haven't had one since September so they say and the assoc also said that the note in my account read that I am not allowed any other waiver Ever. I also have ChaSe and are granted a NSF waiver once a year. Additions Financial count your days because as soon as my husband finds him another bank to have his check deposited into we are gone. read more

I made an appointment to speak to someone about a consolidation loan- I was waiting and someone else came in who also had an appointment with the same person at the same time- They took him in with the employee and I waited another 15 minutes and had to stand at the teller line while she hurriedly asked me personal questions that the person next to her could hear and filled out the loan application in about 5 minutes- I was shocked at this customer service- Very unprofessional- read more

This "bank" needs improvement and I'm not even a customer; simple manners are gone. Unhelpful and an attitude when I asked questions from an underling Brian and Diego needs to work on his "professionalism" as he was telling about calling at a horrible time for the bank - Not my problem read more

5 Stars for a surprisingly pleasant and human experience... At a financial institution! I was just going in to be added as a cosigner on an existing account but every moment of this experience was above expectation. First we went directly upstairs (as this was for a nonprofit account) and signed in on an iPad as instructed by the person behind the desk. Within moments a smiling woman came out of her office and led us back to get started. Sandra was extremely personable and helped us understand the entire process. Every step was explained and she happily made conversation with us while we waited for documents to print. I'm very chatty (shocker) and sometimes get the cold shoulder when I try to make conversation during quiet moments. In this case, I felt like I was talking to a real person, with a family, and siblings, who happens to have many years in the financial sector. No one was waiting behind us and she clearly read the room (again, I'm clearly a talker) so we shared a few common stories as we went through the process. She even mentioned they were short-staffed because two people had to call out sick yet she never made us feel rushed and made sure to help us with some less-related questions. Other employees popped in to say hi so it seemed like this human interaction was the norm here and not a fluke. So often I feel like financial institutions are trying to be so efficient that they lose any semblance of a personal touch, but this was so different (in an authentic, non-salesy way) that I honestly left wondering if I should consider using this credit union for my own banking. Overall, really surprising, down-to-earth, helpful visit. read more

Representative hung up on me after 1 hour on hold. Did not set up my bank account correctly

This is the worst bank ever do not bank here or else you will regret it they constantly have technical difficulties and you will not be able to access your account online at all maybe 2 to 3 hours per day the customer service reps are very rude and will hang up on you multiple times it takes about 45 minutes for them to answer a call do whatever you have to but do not do not bank here this is the worst bank I will be closing my account shortly I wish there was a way I could report these people so that this Bank could shut down they should not be in business read more

I usually don't give low reviews but I had no other choice. This review is for the person who has not quite made up their mind in choosing Additions for their banking. RUUUUUUUN. This company feeds on your ignorance. They set up camp at the new teacher's sign-on meeting and feed you lies and disingenuousness. Once you drink the poison....you are just a number. I am just trying to help someone from humiliation, frustration, etc. read more

Addition Financial Lake Mary, Florida. Do NOT, get involved with them! They will take you to the cleaners, and not respond to messages left. They won't explain how a 1.99% rate turns into 18+% interest. They are the worst financial institutions that I've ever dealt with and I would never, deal with them again. They bought my loan from another lender. I had no choice. I wired funds to pay off my loan and not only did they apply the funds to the wrong account, even though I let them know ahead of time that I was wiring the funds to them on Monday to pay off the loan, but they charged me for receiving money. How does that work?? My payment was $73.17. I set up auto pay for $100.00 a month. The first payment they charged me $86.40 in interest. I'm no expert in math, but that's not 1.99% interest. I sent them anther $500.00 so I could start to bring the principal down. That didn't seem to make any difference. I asked for an explanation, with no results. So, to save myself the headaches of dealing with these people, I paid the loan off. That's been a major undertaking, and it's not settled yet, even though they received the money yesterday. Addition Financial, if you see that name run as fast as you can to work with someone else. Don't get shafted, like I did. I don't normally write bad reviews. I enjoy writing good reviews, but everyone needs to know how these people operate. Please, please, beware of these people!! read more

I'm baking with CFE for several years. I went to request a business loan (really a small amount) because I'm planning to buy some equipment for my business. So I went to the headquarters thinking I will get better rate because it's a credit union but the reality it's other: CFE ask for too many papers, give me a hard time, take several days. So I went to wellsfargo and they approved my loan just in 2 days. Very disappointed, this financial institution it's a CRAP. I'm planning to move my money and my business account to wellsfargo! I really don't recommend this credit union to no one. read more

Closing my accounts as soon as they open today. My card was blocked all weekend during this lo g holiday weekend. I must have called them about 6 times and everyone kept telling me my card was ok. I couldn't use it to get cash, makes transactions and all I kept heading was that my card was active and all was good. Well today I call and load and behold my card has a block on it but no one was able to tell me this Friday or Saturday when I was calling and was left with no money to make any purchases??? Not to mention, they have rude customer service agents that don't know what they heck they are doing! I do NOT recommend this POS Credit Union to anyone!!! I miss them when it was CFE! I can see they continue to lose more and more customers, shutting them now today!!!! read more

Additions financial stole $1100 from a hard-working teacher, they claimed it was fees. I have been loyal two additions financial for nine years and they never did anything to help me out. AdditionFi was amazing to work with to get our HELOC. We were closed and funded within 30 days of first submitting our application. Everything is great until you need assistance. It is nearly impossible to speak with a person. The bank has recently changed names and has caused a great deal of inconvenience to members. I am just trying to find out what happened to our debit cards - have gotten 3 different stories, and still no card. Have been consistently disappointed with the lack of courteous customer service over the last few years. read more

If I could select a no star review, I would have. After the extreme lack of customer service and willingness to work with their customers to make sure they are satisfied with their banking experience, we have decided that we will be looking into other banking options and shut down our business account with Addition Financial. The rep that set up the account was completely unprofessional and deceptive. Make sure you read the fine print! Addition Financial will not tell you all the information up front, especially regarding fees and account requirements. Don't bother trying to resolve any issues. From tellers to upper management, the response will basically fall along the lines of it's your fault that you were misled to having these issues and they could care less about working towards resolving any negative feedback to keep their customers. If you think companies like spectrum lack customer service, feel free to open an account with Addition Financial and find out what terrible customer service truly is. read more
