Dr Bond got me in fast, and ran a few tests. The answer was this: "I know what's wrong, but I cannot treat it. You need a retinal specialist." One phone call from Dr Bond, and 24 hours later I was in with one of the top retinal specialists in North Texas. 3 months later, I'm in UTSW with one of the top specialists in the country. The bottom line is, without Dr Bond, I would probably still be sitting at home, almost a year later, "waiting for it to get better"! I'm super thankful for such a knowledgeable doctor, with the expertise and resources to get me to the right people! 5 STARS. She probably saved my vision!

I looked at Benbrook/Fort Worth reviews and found De Grasse & Ratliff Eye Center - what a blessing! Everyone I encountered at De Grasse & Ratliff Eye Center was pleasant, assistive, and professional. My optometrist was Dr. Chad Carter. He took his time with me and was careful and thorough during the examination. He recommended and used lenses to demonstrate how the changes would impact my vision quality. While waiting to see Dr. Carter, I decided to review their extensive selection of frames. Mandy Roger-Gay, a Lead Optician, introduced herself and assisted me in finding frame options. My choices were made with her assistance before the exam (I knew I would need new frames as mine had broken). I have worn prescription eyewear for almost 60 years, since second grade. I have never had a more thorough and informative eye exam than the one conducted by Dr. Carter. I have never enjoyed more assistance and courteous service than Mandy's. Mandy took her time to measure for bi-focal lines carefully and made beneficial suggestions to ensure my new eyewear would provide me with the support I need to live and work with good eyesight. I am delighted I chose to drive the thirty miles to experience this level of friendly and professional service. She told me that they didn't take vision plans, only medical plans through UHC. But when my agent went through the providers they were listed in there. She wasn't very friendly at all when I questioned her. I reached out to my agent and ask her to call to see if she could get any more information. She contacted them but no luck. She asked to speak to someone that worked with insurance and the receptionist told her she needed my Id number which she had but then she told my agent that she couldn't talk to the insurance company. She was very rude to my agent. So needless to say they lost a customer and I would not recommend Ophthalmology Associates to anyone. This was very unprofessional to answer the phone and treat people like this. Very very disappointing in my experience.

I sat in the lobby until 10:50 then was called back. They ran three or four tests, then sent me back to the lobby to wait for the doctor to get free. I was there for 30+ minutes and now I'm back in an exam room still waiting for the doctor and it is Noon. Basically I've wasted over an hour and a half (and still counting). As I said - it seems to get worse with every visit and I'm not sure how much longer I can give them my business. It is sad when doctors overbook and create such backlog and waste of time for their patients. Speaking of patients - I'm pretty much losing my patience.
