Unfortunately, we had called another plumber, unsure of how long a call back would be and scheduled a visit for today. Earl was very polite even though we had to tell him someone else was coming. We waited two hours for the other plumber to call when on way and then realized we should have stuck with Earl! Earl had cleared a clog for our neighbors the previous day. We called back Earl and he was considerate of the other plumber, not wanting to take the job from someone else. We assured him we would cancel the other plumber (someone part of a conglomerate and was fine with a cancellation). which we did and called back Earl. He explained that since we are on a septic, he wanted to help us know whether it was really a clogged line, which he could work on, or a failed septic or drain field which would be something he couldn't fix and we would end up having to pay him to come out and have nothing fixed. Earl took his time to explain to us how to check our septic tank and figure out if the field was working. Sure enough, the problem was a mat of roots. We cleared them out of the inlet pipe from inside the septic and clog was cleared. We offered to pay Earl for his advice and he declined. Needless to say, Mid Michigan plumbing will be our go to from now until the end of time. Highly recommend.

I found a water leak on the out flow pipe from my water heater on Saturday. I kept an eye on it…read morethrough the weekend. Wasn't a real bad leak but it was leaking. On Monday I called Burfords, as I had previous service from them. The appointment was made for later in the day probable after 2:30. About 11:15 I received a call from them stating they were done at the previous home and was I home and available. I said yes. In a few minutes they were hare. At first they assessed the problem and discussed it among the two of them. Half hour later they were finished, all before noon. Excellent work and great results.
