With no intention of visiting a leather working shop, we walked by this little gem and the display caught our eye. There was a beautiful assortment of leather goods; belts, coats, wallets, etc.
Sadly our French was terrible and we couldn't understand the sign on the door. So we stood around just waiting for someone to come and open the store back up (it was around lunch time so we assumed they were out for lunch). It turns out, the sign must have said something like, ring the bell because about ten minutes late, the owner walks out from the back and sees us, and buzzed us in.
I must say, I've never been in a leather working shop before.
The BF settled on a belt. What happened next blew our minds. The owner took his measurements and took out some tools. He literally made a belt in front of us. It was pretty cool.
If you're in the area (we had walked by after visiting Basilique du Sacré Coeur de Montmartre) and in need of any leather goods or gifts, definitely check this place out. It's not cheap, but it's definitely not overpriced for the quality and craftsmanship. read more
