I had been in the library for a bit when the power went out. The librarians indicated that the last time this happened, it was at least an hour until power was restored. Rather than wait around with my laptop batteries low, I opted to head out. Driving to the interstate and the traffic lights at two big intersections were out. Lots of backed up traffic and three police cars with their blue lights flashing. I was hoping to see them out and about, directing traffic. No, these officers were sitting in their cars watching the traffic. And people did NOT know how to operate at a four way intersection with the lights out. No one taking turns, no one looking carefully. This could have been a big series of fender benders and instead, the cops are sitting their watching. Maybe y'all don't have reflective vests? Safe Exchange is designed to provide a safe location for families to make custodial exchanges and to assist residents with the exchange of products purchased or sold online. This service is part of the Dayton Police Department's commitment to community safety. There are now designated areas at East Patrol Operations Division North (417 E. Helena St.) and East Patrol Operations Division South (2721 Wayne Ave.) where online buyers/sellers and parents or guardians can meet to make needed exchanges. Once both parties have agreed on exchange terms, they may meet at one of the two locations and look for the "Safe Exchange Zone" sign near the main entrance. The building lobby at the either location will be available during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday). The dogs were howling and barking and crying, which drew my attention to the car. I hope that cop has a child that is left in a vehicle like that with a window open 1 inch in late June in southern Ohio. Shame on the Chillicothe Police Department!

On one occasion, I caught a cop going faster than the speed limit in a school zone and the same cop making sudden stops at stop signs (almost like a screeching stop). Today, I witnessed one vehicle (Lexington Police 8235 or 8238, explorer type vehicle) come off a street that was not a four way stop, but a two lane outlet, proceed to force their way into the passing lane on Hays Blvd. Unless Lexington, KY law states otherwise and just general street etiquette, one must stop between the median until all cross traffic passes. This is a DANGEROUS MANEUVER, which I am not sure is a traffic offense in KY. I see a lot of residents do this and it should be admonished because it makes oncoming drivers react to turn away from the swerve. I would recommend this individual be retrained when driving off a stop sign, sitting in the middle of the median, and waiting for traffic to pass instead of finishing the turn in one turn. How can we expect criminals and unruly drivers to not make these bad maneuvers if the law enforcement do this? Shocking!

I report a theft from a business that went through my personal belongings, and when I politely asked for my items back, the employee was rude, dismissive, and passive aggressive. Called them for assistance and the first thing they do is side with her. Yeah, you all deserve ever that's coming to you.
