There was a big power outage in Morehead this morning. An area covering several city blocks near…read morethe Interstate was out, including a number of stores, offices, restaurants and the public library. I had been in the library for a bit when the power went out. The librarians indicated that the last time this happened, it was at least an hour until power was restored. Rather than wait around with my laptop batteries low, I opted to head out. Driving to the interstate and the traffic lights at two big intersections were out. Lots of backed up traffic and three police cars with their blue lights flashing. I was hoping to see them out and about, directing traffic. No, these officers were sitting in their cars watching the traffic. And people did NOT know how to operate at a four way intersection with the lights out. No one taking turns, no one looking carefully. This could have been a big series of fender benders and instead, the cops are sitting their watching. Maybe y'all don't have reflective vests? Maybe your not supposed to direct traffic? I don't know but it could have been better. [Review 19561 overall - 160 in Kentucky - 532 of 2023.]

This department honestly started off rather vague in its leanings when I complained of distance…read moreclause violations and grew as a department over time. They went from vague, blaming me to arresting a guy who went nuts at the library before finally working with VA Police to re-earn my trust as an abuse survivor and stop civil war in the police in my state. I feel way safer telling this department that there's a problem and I noticed them telling neonazis "there's no Jews here". So the professional growth is ultimately worth praising in a favorable light for graciously accepting my criticism and consistently standing up for my Byzantine community of friends.

Your officers dont have critical thinking skills. NO ONE HAS TO TALK to their dumbasses EVER. And that does not give them reason to ILLEGALLY detain a citizen. I thought they came to my job which isn't even their area to patrol, I was robbed at gun point and they showed up first to look like hero's, but when crimes are being committed in their community they do nothing but sit and look pretty. I definitely regret moving here. And I recommend everyone I encounter that ask to move to a nice area to avoid green township. It's a joke. You are better dealing with Cincinnati police who actually fight real crimes. I can't believe these officers decided to be law enforcement just to play police. No point in contacting officer Mitch the supervisor he is a joke too. The only hope is to try to contact the head of green township administration Frank Burkenhower to maybe address their laziness. Never supported or understood the idea of defunding the police until today. Check in with your K-9 officers and ask why they would rather let a deranged lunatic get away with attempted murder rather than do paperwork. Didn't ask for an ID, didn't take any notes/statements, didn't even want to review the presented evidence from the woman who offered proof that she did it.
