The outline of an apple complete with stem encircle a mirror-like sheet that is polished to shape the "seeds" on the front. The caption reads, "In celebration of Bentonville's Sesquicentennial Anniversary in 2023, the past and present are brought together with the Seeds of Bentonville. By 1877, Benton County was one of the two largest apple-producing counties in the nation. The shape of an apple slice represents the more than 40,000 acres of apple orchards in the area at that time. Inside the apple slice are 150 apple seeds. The words imaged onto the seeds were provided by local residents to describe what they love about Bentonville today." The words include relaxed, welcoming, thriving, Oztrails, good in people and community. The artwork is by Justin Deister and it was created in 2023. Stop by and check it out. What a cute small town library! It is part of the Washington County library group, so it has a…read moresurprisingly good selection. It's located right off the main road next to the schools. The library is part of a long building that also includes the police, fire station, city hall, and courthouse. There are 2 rooms and it's set up more like a cozy bookstore. The kids' room in the back has movies and a good selection of kids and teen books . There is one kids computer and a bench but not much seating. The front room has a librarians desk, and all the walls are covered with bookcases along with a couple center shelves for movies, audiobooks, and paperbacks. I believe they have a public computer available and a few chairs. It's definitely worth stopping by if you are a book lover and live nearby!

I guess this place is okay if you really liked the show "Andy Griffith." Not really much to see or…read moredo except take in the nostalgic views of areas past... But nothing crazy, it's not like people are walking around dressed in early 1900's cloths. In fact most the "stores" aren't even accessible. Peeping in the windows they are full of stuff you'd see in your garage "storage." I'd say the main focus here is the hanger style dinner "which was closed" the post office "full of junk" and the giant barn across the street that we didn't go look at... I'm sure these things are fascinating to someone from a different country or a big city who never seen these thing's, but any "Midwestern" person would not be amused.
