Review for Family Friends Veterinary Hospital…read more Over the years, we've taken a lifetime series of hounds and bulldogs to Family Friends. I've always wondered why they chose the name Family Friends. At first, I assumed it was because pets are members of the family, and the name had a nice ring to it. Over the past few days, I understand it differently. Family Friends are truly friends to our family. It's a large practice with a remarkable staff--every one of them kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Many practices achieve "friendly." Family Friends has created something more: a place where each staff member steps forward like a true friend, without hesitation, and goes the extra mile. That sets them apart. This past week, as we worked to connect with specialty veterinary services for our dog, Family Friends exchanged supportive emails, answered questions, and listened patiently as we tried to talk through tears. They took time with every visit, showed genuine care, and did everything they could to help us move forward. Their kindness has made a very difficult time feel less overwhelming. Friends are awesome; friends who also know what they are doing--each and every one of them--are deeply appreciated. We do not yet know the outcome for our dog. What we do know is that, whatever lies ahead, we have been supported by wonderful people, and their care has meant a great deal to our small family of two people and two dogs. What always seemed like a stressful place to visit was almost like an oasis in her practice. While my old girl was taken back for her bloodwork, Dr. Malone stayed in the room with me to talk about my cat as if she were her own. It's unheard of to have such great veterinary care. When we first moved to Grand Rapids our dachshund developed an issue that required surgery. They did an excellent job diagnosing the problem. They put her on a special diet, and our dog has done perfectly well since then. The vets at Bridges are warm, good doctors, and just terrific people. The staff are very nice and funny. Best place to bring your pets for neutering! I brought in two cats that are brothers And were six…read moremonths old. My one little male cat Benny had a more complicated neutering but they took such great care of him with no problems. My other cat Charlie was running a temperature. They had me hold him to calm him down and his temperature returned to normal. I explained my kittens love to be with each other and when I returned I was happy to see, my kittens were together in the cage I left for them. They were very reasonably priced and worked us into their schedule very quickly. I was also able to pick my cats up the same day, which I felt was less stressful on my cats. I can't say enough positive things about the great doctor doing the surgery's and great people that work at this clinic! Thank you so much, you made this a pleasant experience for all of us! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tittle and everyone at Eastown Veterinary Clinic…read more Everyone's love of animals is palpable the second you step in - the gals behind the counter happily greet us and our fur-baby each time, for instance. We had a routine follow-up, and our visit was massively delayed - because Dr. Tittle was assisting two dog emergencies (ingestion of chocolate and a heart attack). The entire staff was extremely apologetic, but frankly, I don't mind waiting; if that were my pet, I'd want my vet to be able to give that much time and attention. And Dr. Happel actually figured out our kitty had feline herpes, after we'd spent 2 years trying to manage her inappropriate elimination. Plus, they're reasonably priced, and with the app, it's easy to keep track of appts and prescriptions. Enthusiastic, incredibly friendly, and exuberantly in love with our furry family members - I couldn't ask for a better place to take our kitty.
