I called Milstead around 6:20 pm because the online portal did not show that the status of my service had been updated to show that the tow truck was in route or that the truck had already picked up my vehicle. I was told by a Milstead employee that their drivers were behind because of traffic and could not arrive before 7 pm. This was going to be a problem because the business my vehicle was at closed at 7 pm. The employee said that she could reschedule my service for 8 am the next day and I agreed to that. For the original service request, I spoke to a Milstead employee at 4:24 pm to confirm that they had received my request and it was confirmed. No one from Milstead contacted me to say that they were not going to be able to adhere to their arrival time. The next day, I called Milstead around 8:15 am to see if my car had been picked up and the employee said that my service had been set for 10-11 am and could not be moved to a sooner time. I let the employee know about my situation from the previous day and she said there was no documentation that my tow service was rescheduled for 8 am that day. I canceled my service with Milstead because they pushed back their arrival time twice without updating me that they would be doing so.

Was assigned this company by AAA for a battery check and replacement . The " technician " told me…read morethe battery needed replacement but no other details ( it had no problem starting but It was getting old so I was ready to replace. Then the trouble started ( which matches 2 other recent AAA battery replacement reviews in the last year). The technician quoted $365 and was walking back to his minivan to get a battery when I followed him back and saw 1) a bunch of batteries piled up in the back ( not tied down/ in boxes ). 2) I asked him the CCA and RC of the battery and he said it was 800CCA but didn't know the RC . 3) i asked the date of MFG of the battery ( AAA guaranteed 5 month max ) he told me it was good until January 2027 and that was a good thing for me . 4) I asked why $365 was more than the AAA price and he got more irate and rude. Then he told me it included an $85 installation fee that his boss might be able to take off ( truck is a 2022 F-150 so easy installation. 5) he didn't mention the core reimbursement , which Im sure he wouldn't have brought up without me asking. But at that point I knew this was a shady business. So rather than argue with him I sent him on his way and declined the service. The problem here is that AAA outsourced the service to this company that has a 2.5 star review and the same complaints on battery service in the last year. God forbid if I actually was stuck and needed a battery replacement ( would have gotten an overpriced battery with very questionable quality). I've opened a case with AAA so they can take action and stop this company from taking advantage of future customers that trust in the AAA brand.

I got a quote from Caliber Collision and the price difference was shocking! As it turns out Milstead is a much better equipped body shop because they had the technicians and equipment on hand and did not need to hire anyone out to do recalibrations for the sensors on my bumper which that alone saved me $400-600.
