While the amount I paid per session wasn't huge, it added up--and more importantly, they were knowingly overbilling my insurance and collecting more from me than they should have. Maybe they assumed I wouldn't look into the claims details on my insurance provider's website--but I did. After reviewing months of charges, it was clear they'd been overcharging me the entire time. When I called them to ask what was going on, the doctor refunded everything I'd paid out-of-pocket, going all the way back to my first visit. It felt more like a move to avoid a bad review than a genuine apology. But here I am anyway. To be clear--acupuncture itself is fantastic. The treatment helped me. But what's not okay is the dishonesty. There's no way they didn't know they were overcharging me.
