My 5 year old French Door GE refrigerator quit making ice. I also noticed my freezer wasn't getting…read moreas cold as it should. Some items like meat were still frozen solid, but items like breads and pasta were not frozen. I called around looking for a repair service. Many repair companies phone numbers had been disconnected. A couple I did speak with said they could get to me in 10 to 12 days. I called the appliance store that sold me the refrigerator and they recommended McConnell. By the time I was able to call them it was Friday evening. I left a voice message. Saturday morning I received a return call. The lady I spoke with said they could come by Monday. I set up the appointment. Monday afternoon I received a call from Austin the technician. Austin said he'd be at my house within 30 minutes. Austin took a look at the fridge and said he thought if he'd get the freezing problem fixed, the ice maker would start working again. Austin disassembled the bottom freezer section. When he uncovered the freezer coils it was a solid block of ice. Austin said "There's your problem". He said the problem was either the defroster element, thermostat, or control board. Unfortunately, getting to the defrosting element required him to melt most of the built up ice to access the defrosting element. Austin painstakingly defrosted the coils little by little to avoid flooding our hardwood floor. Finally he was able to test the element. The problem was the defrosting element. Austin completely defrosted the coils and put the freezer back together, minus the inoperable element. Austin said the freezer would work fine and the ice maker should start producing again in a few hours. By that evening we were getting ice again and the freezer was returning to very cold. Austin said he would return Wednesday with a new defrost element. Wednesday about noon Austin returned and installed the new defrost element. He tested everything and reassembled the bottom freezer. From start to finish Austin had about 3 hours labor in it. He also replaced the freezer thermostat. Austin was very knowledgeable and personable. I would call them again should I need additional service on any of my appliances.

I had looked inside to find a swollen capacitor and had called other electronic suppliers without finding it. I called Clarksdale and Donnie confirmed he had it in stock. He fixed it and the charge was what I would have paid for the part, shipping and tax. Now home network is restored without expensive router replacement. Thanks for being there to help!

I cant believe what I went though with Dr.P. Tried to sell me a new unit. Do NOT recommend. Be weary, if you communicate any dissatisfaction, the team (husband/wife) tag team and scream. The husband was in the background literally yelling. I had to ask her to stop emailing me, in which she continued. I threatened to call the county attorney if she didn't stop. Not only did she NOT stop she had an officer call me to get my side of the story. He then called her to ask her to stop calling me. She is very dishonest. I do not post negative comments unless I feel the public needs to know. No business should ever scream and tag team a customer over nothing. It is on record however. I will NEVER use them again as well as 5 other people I have found in Oldham that feel the same. A good friend had a similar experience with them both. They are fake, not genuine people, it was their unprofessionalism that shocked me. Again, they will respond to this because they are terrified of a bad review, but I must tell others about my experience And share the truth! They have now updated their response FOUR times and is adding personal information about me on here that will likely result in a lawsuit as some should be very confidential. I will now be calling the BBB on Monday and my attorney in LaGrange to consult about what they have added on here.
