Then when I started to have chronic hip and osteoarthritis pain I started getting regular massage and cupping. That's the way to do it - with regular treatments. Now that I have found Body Devotion I feel like I am home. Brandy is fantastic for acupuncture and cupping and Alex gives a great deep tissue massage. When I met Mary I knew she was right for me. She really knows how to get deep into the muscles and her cupping technique is great too. I think getting cupping is like having 2 massages at the same time. Mary will place the cups and work on other areas while the cups do their thing. Don't get me wrong, cupping can be painful but not unbearable and it really helps to stretch out and loosen things up. Mary gives a fantastic deep therapeutic massage and is friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Mary and Body Devotion and cannot say enough about the benefits of regular treatment. The location of the business is on the 2nd floor and I had to be buzzed in. I was greeted kindly by my massage therapist, Jesse. Before we started the massage, I filled in a short bit of paperwork and Jesse looked up direct billing through my insurance provider. I was happy to hear about direct billing since it saves you the time to submit online and the wait to get your money back from your insurance provider. The studio is smaller and has two private rooms for massage. Very clean and with nice simple decore. The private room was lit perfectly and there was some relaxing music playing. The temperature was pleasantly warm and it was very easy to relax. Again very clean!!! Jesse was a great massage therapist and applied perfect pressure for a deep tissue massage. I was in dire need for massage due to some neck pain. He was very professional and my back felt great and back to normal a few days later. I've been back to see Jesse 3 times and I am now going to see him on a regular basis. The studio is located above a restaurant/lounge (The Common) and shares the second floor with a few other small business, but it has always been very quiet and relaxing with absolutely no disruptions.

Beth is a really understanding and knowledgeable practitioner. After our first chat I totally felt she understood what I was looking for and could help me get results. The treatment rooms have very calming decor and are perfect temperature, the complete spa atmosphere, but every so often you can hear someone slamming down weights in the gym next door. This kind of hampers the whole calm zen feeling. The last time I went I noticed someone in a wheelchair seemed to have issues navigating because the corridors are narrow around the reception area and there's not really seating for someone who's a little less mobile at the entrance of the clinic. These are the only reasons I haven't given City Centre Wellness five stars. I will continue to visit this clinic because the service is fantastic, they do online booking (which I love) and it's a convenient location for anyone who works downtown. There are appointments available at lunch hour and outside of normal working hours.

I've been going to city center wellness for about a year now and I am throughly satisfied with the service I receive there. First off they have a super convenient online booking system which I love. You can see when your therapist is available and match up an appointment time to your calendar without having to call. They will also send you reminders on the day of your appointment via email, and follow-up reminders when it is time for your next appointment to be booked which is super handy. They also have 3rd party billing which is exrtremly handy for those whose benefits cover massage therapy. They have different therapists who specialize in different areas of massage so they cater to pretty much every need. I personally see Meghan, who is great. She will tell me what parts of my body are tight and what I need to work on and give me tips of things I can do at home to loosen those muscles up. She really knows her stuff. There have also been a few times I have called the studio the day of - you know how it is when you wake up with something wrong and you could use the massage that day - and Meghan has always done her best to fit me in when those problem days occur. Overall great experiences with the city center wellness clinic and I will continue to go back.
