Jenny and I really appreciate the support and dedication they had for the selling of our home.Justin and Cozette were both professional ,highly energetic and engaged throughout the process. They were responsive and communicated to us throughout the entire process. They fought hard and tough ,so that we were not shorted in any way . They were mindful of our privacy and worked around our schedules. I would not only recommend their expertise when selling a home but also in buying one as well . They make it work! Thank you Justin and Cozette! read more

Justin and Bijan helped us sell our house in Crestline. They were very responsive and handled all the coordination with our tenants who were in the house until after we had an offer. Their rates are competitive and ultimately I think we got about the best offer we could have. A few small disappointments: They didn't seem to know the rural mountain market very well, the listing photo and writing quality was meh, and I wish we had been given a better orientation to the steps involved and potential timeline. We wanted to sell the house for more than what turned out to be its market value, and I think they took the right approach with us, giving us an optimistic but realistic sense of the highest potential sale point, and walking it down as we saw we weren't getting offers. I was satisfied with the experience and ultimately, we sold the house and probably got the best offer we could have. read more

Reading up on all the comments I've see a common trend. I've now seen Poor communication skills from this company. As I tried to purchase a property, everyone was right . Cross reference credit check to their loan guys which is a circle feeding each other instead of making a sale of a house. Seemed to be about lining their pockets and their friends pockets than making a house sale. I'm in the market and won't be purchasing anything from this company ever... you've been warned. read more

Bijan is a wonderful realtor I'd trust for home-selling and buying decisions. He's very knowledgeable about real estate markets, properties and neighborhoods. Lori Madsen was the listing agent for the home we purchased. We used her as our buying agent in hopes of securing the house, which we succeeded at doing. However, there were a number of instances where things didn't get relayed or communicated clearly so I question how well she actually represented us. But more importantly, I seriously regret ever using her to sell our previous home. Her lack of proper representation cost us tens of thousands of dollars!!! First, we got offers right away after our Saturday open house. We would have gladly accepted an offer as early as Monday but for some reason she waited until Wednesday to formally discuss our offers with us and select one. Well, that extra time caused us to lose our highest offer - so $25k lost!!! We accepted our other offer and the whole experience was a NIGHTMARE! She executed a notice to perform for the inspection contingency removal, but absolutely FAILED to execute a timely notice to perform for the loan contingency removal. We aren't heartless so we showed compassion when our buyer encountered a family emergency, but it should have been handled and behind us before that ever even occurred. She allowed this to go on for WEEKS!! I had to repeatedly reach out to ask for updates and she'd send screenshots of the other agent's responses and based on time stamps, it would be my reaching out to Lori that would prompt her to make contact with the buyer's agent. Even once we set deadlines for action, it took over a week to get the next notice to perform executed. We ultimately had to cancel the contract but due to her lack of securing the loan contingency removal, we weren't entitled to the deposit and we got screwed out of thousands more for the time carrying that mortgage and the excessive interest on our new mortgage until our sale proceeds could be applied to it. Our final sale price was another $5k less than the original loss so all in all, her poor representation cost us big!!! She had a victim reaction to the ordeal at every turn. We had put our trust in her as the expert, but after I had done my own research, I explained to her the timeline and the lack of proper action. Even then, she never once apologized or owned up to her failure to properly represent us. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE USING AN AGENT WHO DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO EARN MY BUSINESS because it sure showed over and over!!! read more

We worked with Cozette Salguero and Justin Tye from Active Realty in purchasing our first home and could not be happier with our experience. Cozette and Justin were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind throughout the entire process, and we feel very fortunate to have had them as our real estate agents during this pivotal purchase for our family. They are both extremely well versed in the escrow and closing processes, and have their ears to the ground on the local Corona, CA real estate market. read more

Such a great experience provided and super knowledgeable! I would definitely recommend to my family and friends

Hey Justin Tye! We made a full price offer, all cash, no contingencies with a 15 day escrow on a Zillow owned property that you are the agent. Are you way too busy to do a counter offer? Obviously our experience with Active(?) Realty did not meet our expectations. No need to respond unless you have a counter offer! LOL read more

I was curious about the reviews for this company. A neighbors home went up for sale about a month ago and there is NO information on it anywhere to be found on the web. Usually when you list on the MLS it transfers to Zillow, trulia ect. But this house it's nowhere! Not on the Active website or the other website listed on the sign, Wesave1.com which it's a site that doesn't even work. I've worked in Real Estate offices before. And this is just odd to me. read more

When buying/selling a home, is there anything worse than a realtor that doesn't answer the phone and who has a "full" mailbox that does not accept anymore voicemails? Very disheartened that Justin Tye was the listing agent on a home in the desert and this happened. You are NOT serving your clients well if you refuse to answer your phone to arrange viewings with prospective buyers. VERY shady. read more

Justin was responsive, knowledgable, and enthusiastic about finding the right home for us. We found him through Zillow and selected him based on positive reviews there. He did not disappoint. We even passed up a cash incentive from our bank to use one of their preferred agents because they took so long to follow up with us, and Justin had reached out to us immediately after sending him the inquiry through Zillow. He also came prepared to our first meeting with printouts of a dozen other affordable homes in the area. When we found the right home, Justin worked around the clock to negotiate the right price for us, and he patiently walked us through the process of buying a home for the first time. I would refer him to anybody buying or selling a home. read more

Marlene and Richard Chavez assisted our charity organization in selling a property we owned in the city of Orange. There were some extraordinary complexities in selling the property due to zoning issues and the fact that the home was in the historical district of the city. Their expertise, diligence and hard work paid off, our board of directors was very pleased with their work. To top it off they discounted their commission significantly, further benefiting the charity. We truly appreciate the work they did for us. I had the misfortune of dealing with these clowns on two different properties. Their agents never return phone calls or voicemails; and I mean NEVER. I couldn't believe that a licensed real estate agent could literally be this useless, but these people took the crown. I didn't believe my agent when he said they were total deadbeats, so I actually called myself. I left their agent a text and two voicemails. They still have yet to call me after a week. They are the undisputed kings and queens of pathetic communication skills and the epitome of what you do not want in your agent. If you see a property with them listed as an agent, just walk away and find another. If you were ignorant and actually signed them to sell your property, cancel and run! You've been warned. read more

My family & I have always valued character traits such as genuine care for others & unwaivering integrity extremely valuable. So much so that we will often use these traits as guild lines when selecting to do business with others. When I first met Justin with Active Realty I had already purchased a home but had learned that, due to dropping property values (late 2007), my brand new home was quickly sinking in property value. As if he had know me for years, Justin & his team quickly worked (without a dollar promised) to evaluate my situatuon, guild me through every available scenario & ultimately set out a logical plan for a remedy to my situation. Needless to say, I've kept Justin & his team close. We have often consulted Justin & used his real estate knowledge prior to considering changes to our current mortgage. In fact, my family also plans to use him when we decide to turn our now profitable single family home into a rental & purchase our next home. This time around, however, I know I'll be in a better situation than the first time I bought a home thanks to the services of Justin & Active Realty. Thank you Justin for all that you & your team do. May God continue to bless your business. read more

It was a beautiful morning in May when I received an email from Zillow. The dream house I had been following for 9 months had dropped its price again! It was now within range! I sent my wife the info and she responded with "It's ours!" She hastily called the first agent's face Zillow showed her. She thought she was calling the listing agent but lucky for us it was Justin Tye. She told him about the home and Justin sent out a member of his team, Richard AKA the nicest guy on planet Earth, within an hour to show it. A few days later we had an offer in to the seller. It didn't take long for them to accept but we had one glaring problem. We needed to sell our starter home to fund the dream home. And we needed to do it quickly. Justin assured us that it was no problem for him to handle both deals. His confidence and reputation made it an easy decision for us. He was able to sell our starter in a timely manner without open houses or much hassle at all. He was also able to get us into our dream home on the exact date escrow was due to close, which happened to be a Friday. This was no easy task. Through the entire process Justin and his team (Hi Jennifer!) were great communicators and never made us feel uncomfortable. In fact, they treated us like we were the only client they had which was far from the truth. They work hard! I greatly appreciated the ability to sign forms from my iPhone and that I could send Justin a text at any time on any day knowing that he would respond right away with a call. Their knowledge and efficiency was awesome. I hope that we never have to leave our dream home but if we do Active Realty will be the first call we make. Justin and his team are the real deal. Highly recommended!!! Thank you Active!!! PS I would also like to echo some of the other reviews and say go with Justin's lender, Adam Sharp. The fact that they share a work space made it so easy for all the nitty gritty money business to take place and he was a pleasure to work with. read more

We had a very horrible experience with Justin Tye and his incompetent team. We had interviewed various agents and decided to go with him because he talked a big game and in the end was not able to deliver. Hie is so rude and not a man of his words. After we listed our house with him; he failed to market it properly and when we wanted out of his 90 day contract to represent us; he refused to let us out although he had stated in our initial meeting that we can leave at anytime if we are not Happy with his service. He actually got in a yelling match with my husband at one point; so unprofessional! Classic small man syndrome! In the end, he failed woefully in selling our house, which was an immaculate house. In fact, his colleagues also have nothing good to say about him as well and one had told me they were not able to see our house as listed online for the first 20days! I will not recommend him if he was the last real estate agent on earth! read more

My husband interviewed 8 others before selecting Justin Tye, but our experience with him/his office/the process was terrible. Before the open house a young lady came to check out the house for staging the downstairs and was very rude, stating "this is too much, wow, oh my goodness I just can't" and abruptly left. Okay I will be honest, I have a colorful home--but she didn't even try. This is what she saw: http://tours.tourfactory.com/tours/tour.asp?t=1914538&idx= What do you think? Our first open house, someone stole a Complete Renaissance Costume out of the front closet which was heart breaking and cannot be replaced. Every Renfaire person knows that very unique costume and they will step up to you if you wear it. Please just return it--leave it on our front porch. The second week on the market someone used the key box to let themselves in, helped themselves to a shower and a full bottle of pineapple rum. We had been told the key box kept info on who came and went but when asking for that information suddenly they were quick to change the subject. Third week I was home with a migraine, asleep until a man let himself in and seemed shocked that he was supposed to make an appt for a showing. It was clear on the posting that one must make an appt. We took our home off the market months ago and moved back in. Next time....Purple Bricks. read more

Highly recommend Justin & his team. Justin sold our Palm Desert house & we bought one in Murrieta within a month's time. One item I'd like to strongly encourage all of you reading this to consider - go with Justin's recommended lender. We used our own lender & our close was delayed by 2 days. Justin would have NEVER let that happen had we used his recommendation (Adam). As a fellow crazy scheduled professional I applaud Justin & his team for their professionalism & commitment to their client. I also commend Justin on his attentiveness & communication with us at all times. I think I spoke with Justin more in this month than I have all of my family members combined for the past year - in fact - I text him so much my phone tries to autocorrect "the" to Justin's last name "Tye". read more

I would like to thank Justin and especially Tustin Serl for the outstanding job they did on the purchase of my new home! Tustin was extremely prompt and very courteous. He really know his stuff. Looking to purchase a home in Corona that is currently 'active' on MLS and was listed by Justin Tye. Was anxious to speak with him regarding the listing; after lofting through the reviews Justin seemed like a stand-up agent. Left a voice mail on his personal line early AM, the morning prior to viewing the property. Told him I was a cash buyer; and elected that he could double-end the commission as he was also listing the property. Well, I suppose 6% commission was still not enough for a call back. I received a call at the end of the day by another agent, not sure who he was or where he was from, but Justin had him return my call. He noted the property that I wanted to place an offer on; and promptly stated it was already in escrow. Checked MLS again a week later, and this property is still active! This is another example of an agent who does not even deserve to uphold his own RE License. Lazy, unethical tactics like these are what put RE agents on the black list.. and also give the good, honest real estate agents a bad rep. Justin will not be around for long, considering CA licensing board does not take lightly to agents who do not uphold basic service levels... IE: updating listings. Two weeks later the listing still shows as active. Some shady stuff going on with this agent, I would highly recommend not walking; yet running away while you have a warning! read more
