-5 stars for this company....I've never been late with rent EVER. I work for a bank, and have excellent credit. I rented our apartment because it was close to work. However, when our apartments sold; (Action Rental Management of Crystal River) owned by Marie Hagar, took over. After three years of no problems with our previous landlord, Marie Hagar took over and started treating us like criminals. My yard is perfect, and my home is neat as a pin. Because I have allergies, I can't even let dust accumulate. So since she could nothing to complain about, she took to our yard where we were allowed a shed from the previous owner (they knew of this before purchase) as I have the owner standing in front of the shed on video making the deal for purchase and checking out the property. So Marie Hagar comes in and immediately began hounding me to have it removed, even though its allow to be there until lease end. She sends eviction notices weekly, with no ability to follow through because everything is legal. I like following rules, she however does NOT. She's arrogant and self-absorbed, with a godly attitude and no care for others. She stated to us that our days of "cheap rent were through", lol This woman is high on herself and power trips on her renters. Her self-centered ego far exceeds her ability. If she spent half the time doing her job, as she does harassing people, the apartments she rents might actually be worth renting. I spent over $1000 out of my own pocket cleaning up flooding and emergency disasters that her company should have taken care of, when I called her on it. She stated that she does not have emergency serves, and SHE WAS emergency services. She stated that you're not allowed to call for outside emergency services. Even though the day I had to call, our house was flooded and it was grounding out the electric in the walls, causing our breaker to flip the power off. When I called her company, they did nothing, and she tells me she knows nothing about the call. I have record of the call and texts, so she's a liar as well. I have video that I will upload to you tube when I finally get a chance from this hell that are these apartments. When she took over, we spent three days with no water, because of neglect on their behalf as well, and we were very nice about it. She however seems to have forgotten, because I guess she bathed those three days and used a toilet. However, I remember very well because I did not. And we had to raise my son in this, and go to work each day. No water to even drink or cook with...along with 8 other apartments in the same situation, some with children. We had to go the lake and use public restrooms because of these people. If I were you, I'd look someplace else for a place to stay. Otherwise your wasting your first, last, and deposit, because you'll have eviction notices for random things, and have to move anyway. Just skip this company all together and save yourself the trouble. My place couldn't be cleaner; home and yard. I pay my rent early, and have NEVER broken a rule. If she gives me grief, you wont stand a chance if you actually live like a normal human. By the way, in the midst of giving me hell, she leaves the property trashed with other people's furniture, and garbage from jobsite workers who beat on your roof, and displace you from your own drive, so you'll have to walk from the neighbors to get home. Even after being told and seeing the trash herself for months, she won't listen if you call with a concern, (she'll be rude and place the phone on a table in the midst of you talking and, then talk over everything you say when she gets back on, including throwing insults). No no, no, to Action Rental Management of Crystal River, I don't even have a star to give this review -5 for this horrible place and Marie Hagar. read more
