The other guys were rude after the first couple calls but Mike stayed consistently nice and empathetic to our situation. He worked with us in a couple of different areas and helped me navigate the Reno jail/court system. He treated all of us respectfully and I didn't get that from some of the others we spoke too. If you need someone who will work with you in all areas he's the one.

I gather they're all going to cost roughly the same so then it came down to service. Technically I got most of my questions answered but he kept looping the same dialogue vs listening and answering the question asked. And there were inconsistencies (collateral needed? Or just check stubs? - his answers waivered). I get that most people are hysterical / emotional (I was not - just data gathering) but it's a lost opportunity to be condescending or submissive to a potential paying customer when there's 20 more of the same business in a 1 mile radius. We did not use this company and it was because of the guy who answered the phone.

Maria is the kindest, most helpful, energetic, and knowledgeable person to work with. Straightforward and to the point, with no sugar coating, she's not afraid to get on the phone with jail and court officials to get the job done. Just when we thought we had run out of options, she was compassionate enough to make some calls for us. Even though they gave her the runaround, she didn't give up, and because of that, we are in a much better position to handle our issues with the courts. If you're reading this, Maria, thank you for all your help. Not many people take the time to work one-on-one with others, and I saw you take care of everyone--with the same energy--before us and after us. Thank you so much! Keep doing what you're doing!

I have to say it was a surreal moment having three bright yellow waterbottles handed over to us, festooned with the lovely Big Daddy logo. I can't say I blame them, it's good marketing, and a captive relevant focus group. Still there is something twisted about this evolving symbiotic relationship with the deserts north of Reno.

The court in many jurisdictions, especially states that prohibit surety bail bondsmen - Oregon, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky and Maine -may demand a certain amount of the total bail (typically 10%) be given to the court, which, unlike with bail bondsmen, is returned if the defendant does not violate the conditions of bail. This is also known as surety on the bond.
