Liz was able to see our vision for the wedding, support us in our decisions, and then help a ton with vendor follow-ups, reservations, etc. We also had bad weather on the forecast and she made a whole plan B the week before the wedding, calling vendors and making reservations. On the day of, Liz handled everything and kept it very low-stress for us. There was a fair amount of complexity in our wedding plans for the event, and Liz handled it all with ease. We couldn't have asked for a better person to plan the wedding, run the event, interact with vendors, support guests, be our advocate, save us money, and all the other stuff that Liz did! Liz goes above and beyond as a wedding planner. Hiring her was the best decision we made for our entire wedding. She really does everything she can to make your wedding perfect. She is incredibly organize and left us at ease on our wedding day. Even all of our vendors RAVED about her.

I worked with YHD for my wedding on April 2, 2011. We hired Michelle to be our day of planner and…read moreshe was excellent. We live in Modesto, CA and Michelle helped us plan our wedding from 700 miles away. Our first meeting was professional as well as comfortable. My self, fiancé, dad and step-mom met with Michelle at Starbucks and she had a folder of information ready for us, we worked through a preliminary budget, helping all parties to understand exactly what the wedding we wanted will cost. I was very upfront about my budget, $10k, and was given the same courtesy from Michelle about their rates. Her rate quoted to us for day of planning was $2k in 2010, but she gave us a discount because the full $2k was not in our budget. Michelle gave us unlimited email contact from the day we met and was available for deliveries the day before and the day of the event. The email contact was very helpful. Each time I got a finalized contract from a caterer, photographer, party rental facility, etc. I would email it to Michelle for review. She helped me to negotiate services into my contract and reminded me of anything I had forgotten to ask. The service provided the day before and the day of the wedding was fantastic. Michelle came to the venue the day before to meet rental deliveries and set up all tables and chairs. She also ran the rehearsal even though we started about 45 minutes late. The day of Michelle was at the venue about 6 hours before start time, meeting all vendors, making all payments for us, making sure everyone in the wedding party was on time and knew where they were supposed to be. She offered moral support to me was available for anything I needed. My goal for a wedding planner was to have someone help my day be stress free. Michelle of YHD made this possible. I had a hard time with my dad accepting that we wanted/needed a wedding planner, he thought most of the wedding "wasn't necessary". He said we could have done everything without her, I don't think that's true for a second. I was sitting in my bridal suite, sipping on wine and water, waiting for someone to tell me it was time to start. Without Michelle, I probably would have been setting up candles, flowers, checking on the food, is there enough ice at the bar, in a robe, with my hair half done, while my guests were arriving. I would highly recommend Your Heart's Desire for your full wedding planning, or day of services. No matter how much you think you have your wedding under control, you will want to have someone else running the show behind the scenes. With this service, you are able to be a guest at your own wedding.
