I feel they took advantage of my lack of knowledge of hearing aids and wanting to make them work to stall me until it was too late to do anything. They never did work very well and I made many trips in for adjustments complaining about the same thing time after time. The major problem is that the hearing aids keep drifting into amplifying higher and higher frequencies.

I have had hearing aids for several yrs and Dr Sherry was recommended by a friend after I expressed my frustrations with my current aids and care. So I met Dr. Sherry and it was the most complete and amazing ear exam I have ever had! I was tested with and without the aids and at each step adjustments were made to tweak my aids so I could get maximum benefit. I was treated with kindness and respect and everything was explained each step of the way. She took my current hearing aids and adjusted them to match my hearing and I am hearing better than I have in such a long time! In fact, it's one of the first things my wife realized. I can actually hear a whisper now! It seems so natural and even. I also know what my next step will be - it was all explained so well. It was refreshing to know that they service many different hearing aids and are not tied to one brand and pushing that. In fact, I was not offered new aids, because they only had to get my current ones adjusted better. I will add that I live a significant distance from Advanced, but I don't care! He told me that was the source of my infections. I begged him to put tubes in my ears. He being a doctor (for lack of a better term), I let him fix my septum. Within a few weeks I again had another ear infection again. I told him that I keep getting ear infections. He gave me Flonase. I used it as directed by him and still got the infections. When I tell him that I keep getting ear infections. He says keeping using Flonase. I'm sure he was getting kick backs. Present day (2019)I still get the ear infections. Every time I get one, the doctors asks why I haven't got tubes in my ears. I then tell them of this Quack that was only interested in making as much money as he could from a patient! I gave him plenty of opportunity to fix the problem!

I discovered Family Hearing Care in Yorktown three years ago while conducting an internet search. Since Family Hearing Care is only 5 minutes from our home, I thought I would give them a try. Dr Tomlin and her staff are amazing! Dr. Tomlin has always demonstrated a caring attitude and the highest level of professionalism. She even took the time to investigate why my hearing devices were malfunctioning, and in the process discovered that I had two months left on my warranty. They were repaired at no charge!
