So at the time this was my letter that I wrote to my daughter and the class of 2020 and I would like to share it: My beautiful daughter was suppose to walk the stage today May 4th 2020, unfortunately along with prom, senior trips and other milestone celebrations, graduation was canceled. It's a bittersweet ending for the Graduation Class of 2020. It's devastating actually, these rites of passage are never going to happen for them. For a teenager, next to getting their drivers license, going to prom, senior trips, and graduation are big events they have been looking forward too their whole life. I simply cannot imagine the hurt and frustration this Class is possibly going through. Let's face it, getting your diploma in the mail just isn't the same. And although many lives have been more impacted by Stay-at-home orders, let's make no mistake about it--this loss is legitimate. My heart cries for you, and I want you to know that this cold unceremonious end to what you were surely counting on being the most fun-filled days of your life is not your fault. Nothing can change with what has been done. But some how, some way, you will get through this. You are the Class that will be the most strongest and the most resilient.
