Crider's Heat and Air

(10 reviews)

My wife called me at work, 50 miles from home, around 11 am on Thursday, Aug. 15th, telling me that…read morethe inside A/C unit was still blowing but the outside unit wasn't doing anything, and that the temperature inside the house was reaching 90 degrees. We have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and a parrot that all stay inside our house. I started looking for HVAC services in the Shawnee, OK area, since we live in McLoud. After reading all the positive reviews for Crider's, I gave them a call. I explained the situation to the lady who answered. She told me that the guys were out on a call but she'd let me know how soon they could get to our house. About 5 minutes later, she called me back and said that they would be at our house in an hour or 2. Paul and Eric showed up at our house at around noon, met my wife, and went to work on our A/C issue. They found the problem almost immediately. After some back & forth between me and Paul on the phone about power feeds, they did what they had to do. They went back to Shawnee to get the parts to fix our problem and got it done in a timely manner. They were extremely respectful to my wife and her situation and showed complete professionalism in the process of their diagnosis and subsequent repairs. The price for what they did was lower than I expected. I called them back out Monday, Aug, 19th because the condenser fan had stopped working. I was off work and at home. I had a new capacitor left from an earlier repair, so I tried that after calling Paul. I called him back to cancel the call, but Eric was just pulling up. Eric went ahead and checked amperage draws on the system. He refused payment for the service call since he "didn't do anything." He said he's just happy to have us as customers. THIS is what customer service is all about.. I will be their customer as long as they are in business. VERY PROFESSIONAL and courteous. I will be calling them again for any heat or air conditioning needs I may have in the future. Thank you Paul and Eric!

We have used them since 2015!! They are honest, Christian folks with unmatched integrity. They will NEVER charge ridiculous amounts for a simple fix and always have the best interest of the customer at heart. They've never tried to sell me something I couldn't afford, nor taken advantage. They've done everything in their power to help me maintain and aging system, until I can get it replaced!! Thank you, Paul, Cindy and Eric!! Kirk and Sheila Crabtree McLoud, OK

Climate Care Heat & Air

(I will be cross-posting this on several sites). TLDR at bottom…read more My experience with Climate Care has made me a customer for life. The AC stopped blowing cold air on Sunday night. Normally, we're the kind of people who try to fix most of our problems on our own before calling someone, but my husband was out of town for a business trip all week, and I didn't feel comfortable trying to diagnose things on my own. I knew I couldn't wait 6 days without AC. So I started doing research. The first guy I called gave me a long list of things that probably needed to be replaced, and gave me a quote of around $400. I gave him my concerns about him diagnosing the AC unit over the phone without even looking at it. He became very rude and told me he could give me an in person quote on Wednesday. I told him to make me an appointment for Wednesday and decided to keep looking around for other options. I'm pretty sure I called at least 15 other places. Several of them quoted me around the same price, or couldn't make it to look at the unit until several days later. I actually ended up finding Climate Care on complete accident while I was looking for a phone number to another place, and I truly believe that God was on my side that day. I was extremely annoyed by the time I called, and I know that was definitely heard over the phone but they were friendly with me the entire time, and he told me he could come look at my unit that day, within the next hour and a half if I was available and give me a quote based on what they found. My prayers had been answered. Brian (I think?) showed up when he was supposed to, and immediately started looking at my unit. Within 15 minutes, he had a diagnosis ready. When he came back he explained the problem to me in simple and matter-of-fact kind of way. I run into service guys all the time (especially in auto shops) who think that because you're a woman you just won't understand the situation, or you don't know what you're really looking for. I did not feel that way at all talking to the guy, and it was a serious breath of fresh air. I was more than prepared for him to tell me that I needed to replace this long list of parts and it was going to cost me over $400. He told me I only needed to replace one part, quoted me around $80 and had the problem fixed for me around 2 hours later. He even took a little bit of extra time to clean up around and inside the unit (at no extra cost to me). I was very pleased with my service and I'm convinced that my AC is working better now than it ever did. I will definitely call them first with any issue I have in the future. TLDR: Was quoted $400 and several days wait to get started on the work for the first company I called. I found Climate Care on accident, and have never been so well taken care of. They were extremely nice, and looked at my unit that day and gave me a quote of around $80. They went above and beyond to make sure my unit was working properly and even cleaned around and inside the unit to make sure that the AC was working 100%.
