This is a perfect grocery store while staying in the wildwoods or wildwood crest beaches. The store is within drivable distance; the parking lot is great and was busy when I visited on a Sunday morning. The store is well packed with grocery, bakery and diary items for which I was shopping. The store is kept well and maintained clean. The staff was okay and not of much help. It is definitely a good place to shop while you are vacationing in Wildwood for sure. read more

This review is in regard to the $6 premade hoagies. Where's the meat??? There is literally 1-2 slices of meat/cheese on a hoagie roll. Whoever makes these hoagies needs to go to the No. WW Acme and see how they make theirs. Or better yet, Shop Rite off the island! Both have substantially more meat on them. I know I'm paying for the convenience of not leaving the island, but the amount of meat and cheese is NOT worth the price. Visit Date: August 15, 2017 After we checked into our hotel for my third trip to Wildwood, our first family vacation together with our son, we came here for groceries after eating lunch. I loved it they had so much stuff available and we got enough food and almond milk to last us for two meals in our hotel room each day so we could be a little thrifty on our vacation using the mini-fridge, microwave, sink and coffee maker we had in our hotel room which was more like a tiny apartment. ACME made it possible to stay on my nutrition plan for most of the vacation except for two planned cheats that I had. I decided if I vacation in the U.S. I will stay on my nutrition plan except for one or two cheats and if I vacation in Europe all bets are off even if I have to lose ten pounds again when I get back home. Definitely recommended if you live in this area or if you're on vacation and can get food for your hotel room. read more

You Acme, I Acme, we all scream for Acme! Or not? This is NJ's version of Giant or Safeway in my opinion. This location is a tad on the small side, but we found everything we needed, as we had forgot to pack some items for our trip. I would say prices are relative to Giant and Safeway at home. This review is about the bakery. I love cakes and love decorated cakes. I designed and ordered a large sheet cake for a wonderful and loved boss' retirement gathering. The bakery did exactly what I asked for- color, writing, prop and size! I would have given 5 stars if the writing was a little more professional. But overall, it was done nicely. The butter cream icing was delish! I am a big fan of icing! The vanilla cake was fine. Not any special taste, but fine. Everyone liked it. I was happy with the outcome!!! read more

So happy with the bakery section of this store! I went in and explained the type of cake I wanted to one of the cake decorators and she did an amazing job! She was so nice and thorough while going over everything I wanted for the cake which was for a gender reveal. I ordered deli meats and was standing at the counter for over 20 minutes, as the girl was just chit chatting with her friend. I ended up just walking away. The store is not Well stocked. 2nd and last trip to this location. First time went through nearly 50 yogurts trying to find one not expired. Gave up. This trio sealed it. Bought boneless ribs. Massive amount of fat slab hidden underneath ply's two big bones. Not sure what there definition of boneless is. So out of a 1.66 lb pack I ended up with less than 8 oz of meat. When I called I was told they can't take back opened packages of meat. The store is cramp and seems dirty and I'm done with it. I'll drive off the island to Shopright from now on. read more

Let me start out by saying that the staff and manager here are very friendly always. Here's the thing - when you have a small store such as this one, why oh why are you wasting space with Jersey Girl shirts, hats, boards, dining tables etc. You are clogging the already small aisles. It's a supermarket so not much excitement here. It's just ok but that's mostly due to the small size of the building. All the shelves were nicely stocked. The place was packed but since it's your only real option in Wildwood I can see why. They also have a beach type store attached which I did not go into but looks like it's good for last minute beach items. The staff is really helpful as they helped me find strawberries. read more

This is the Acme that gets literally attacked during season. It is a smaller of some in the area but boy they can take a crowd. I avoid this place during July and August. They do have plenty of cashiers and they keep the lines moving. They really do a good job keeping stock fresh and plentiful. I find prices are higher here than others. I never shop at an Acme at home only down here because it is one of the only supermarkets on the island unless you travel north to the other Acme in north Wildwood. Today I went into the ACME deli for cheese. I immediately noticed the nice lady behind the counter noticing new customers and taking her gloves off and washing her hands before putting a new set of gloves back on. She was by herself and handled her customers like a professional. I was very happy with the service she provided to me. Given that this ACME is the only major supermarket that serves the southern half of the The Wildwoods, it's pretty likely that you're going to find yourself here at some point if this is your vacation spot. I generally avoid shopping at ACME if I can help it. Their produce tends to be lesser quality and their prices are always more expensive than most of their competitors. But this ACME seems to have its act together, at least in the summer, which is the only time this island is actually populated with people other than the few locals who live here. And because The Wildwoods are such a popular summer vacation destination, all the food tends to turn over pretty quickly, and that seems to lend itself to a fresher selection during the busy times. That said, you'd be smarter to bring your own food down with you when you vacation here. You will definitely pay a premium for shopping at this ACME. And if it's a weekend, you can expect to wait on long lines, deal with large crowds, and likely have to drive around a bit before finding a parking spot. But they are good in a pinch or for stocking up once you arrive if that's your preference. read more

Off season, shopping at this Acme is very wallet friendly!!!!!! My dad had found lean and expensive cuts of meat here on sale for less than $3.00! Steaks, chicken wings, pork tenderloins...all dirt cheap because no one shops here during the winter! Can't find better deals even at the other Acme in Court House, but more locals will shop there then all the way into Wildwood. Downside of this Acme: it's smaller so your choices are a bit limited. Come summer though, I'm sure that no one really cares. read more

My experience was not very good. Self checkout was card only, express was not open and all I had to use was cash. I had 4 things to buy, and everyone infront of me had enough food to last them a century. My usual 5 minute acme trips turn into 15 minutes. Employees are also very mean and have horrible customer service skills. I will still go to this acme but its very relunctant until I get my 5 minute trips back. read more

Large grocery store. Fresh food, deli counter, fish section, sushi maker in store, produce, meat, water floats, sells everything you could ask for. Walked in Friday. Go BEFORE the weekend to avoid the weekend beach rush! There is a friendly greeter at the door BUT it makes people entering stop (which causes a back up out the door) AND the entrance is the SAME as the exit. Flow problem much? (from the consultant) Lemon meringue pies for $3.99. Cherries for $1.99 - A STEAL. But bananas at 79cents a pound are nothing to write home about. Clean, reasonable prices, large aisles. And a prize game during the summer - like McDonalds old Monopoly game - to win cash, gift cards, etc. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my beach house grocery shopping. read more

Everything here is basically 50% more expensive than any of the grocery stores in Hoboken. This is pretty much the only grocery store option in Wildwood, and they know it, and have priced everything accordingly. A rotisserie chicken here will run you $12 vs $5 at the Acme where I'm from. If you can, do your grocery shopping on your way into town and save yourself some money. read more

The manager should be disgraced! The picture of inefficiency. Empty stocking carts in the middle of aisles on a Saturday... the biggest turn over day of the week in our town. Manager CINDY completely unaware of Albertsons policies and incapable. Brittany was the self check attendant and tried to double ring us for something, good thing I was watching her. Technically the policy is that if something rings up incorrectly it is free. Hmmmmm looks like you own us a little. Worst store ever. Can I say how convenient it is to have an ACME only a few blocks away from where I stay at the shore?! I can only hack Mac's Pizza and Boardwalk food so much before I start aching to grill some steaks or have some fresh fruit for breakfast and for these times the ACME is the perfect spot. A twenty-spot is enough to get a meal for a few where as a trip out to one of the local restaurants would require double that. read more

Check your receipts..... I have noticed being overcharged at this store more than once in the last month, three times I can remember definitely. Items have been scanning higher than what they are listed for in the store. When I point it out, they go and check what is listed on the shelf, and then come back to lower the price, sometimes nicely, sometimes as if its a hassle. I have become more diligent and watch them ring stuff up now. A work colleague recently told me when this happens they are supposed to give you the item for free. It happened again today so I called the ACME toll free info line when I returned home, because the store only lowered the price. The toll free info line confirmed that when over charged, the item should be free per their scanner accuracy policy. The management need to let their employees know! read more

Bought a Signature Farms spinach salad bowl...expired. Bought Archway oatmeal cookies that expired in MAY! So disgusted. Fortunately my cashier, Jevaughn, was very pleasant. This place is pretty cool. They really cater to the shore vacationer crowd. They have a large selection of prepared foods and snacks that go along great for vacation. They are also stocked with a large variety of smaller things that you usually lwouldnt buy when you are home- small ketchup, small mayo, etc... Prices were fair just like any other supermarket. It was a zoo on a saturday but, they had plenty of staff and it can be calssified as " organized chaos" 2nd time we have been here. Good stuff read more
