So happy with my new screen room. I am a widow and was very nervous about being scammed. Let me tell you, these are the most honest people. The workers are polite and respectful. Carlos, the boss, returned every phone call. I just can't say enough about this company, they are honest and good And price was fair too. I would hire them again. The job is done and I am very happy. read more

Carlos and crew started our project quickly and efficiently. After a few months the work was farther and farther apart. It took nearly 15 months for a job that was quoted only 4 months. Carlos was $45K over is written quote as well demanding payment before work. The workmanship was shady. read more

Low quality work never answers the phone regarding problems. Had several of his homes to try to resale shotty work. read more

I wouldn't recommend this company, at the time of this review Carlos Lira has nearly $90k of my money, over $30k for work that hasn't even started. He refuses to refund it. Carlos Lira is not a licensed contractor, and he didn't pull the necessary permits for the work at our house. As a result there is a stop work order on my house. I have a non functional bathroom, a hole in the ceiling for the last 2.5 months, sewer gas smell in my house from drains that weren't covered properly, and he has stopped returning calls and text messages. This was supposed to be a 3 week project, it's now week 14 and we have to rip out nearly all the work he did and have it redone to code. Do not use this company. read more

RUN!!! a project that should've taken 2-3 months took almost a year and a half of pure hell. he is an unlicensed scammer. Carlos talks like a car salesman and doesn't listen to a single thing the customer has to say. i spent almost $70k on a project that was left unfinished w/shoddy work. he pulled absolutely no permits and now I'm in the process of trying to fix the disaster he left. read more

Do NOT use this company, if they really are a company. Unfortunately Carlos Lira was recommended to us by our real estate agent. So needless to say, we trusted him thinking all would be fine. As an English speaking only customer, with a crew of Spanish speaking only, we were unable to communicate with them. I'm not prejudiced, but if you are going to work in America, you need to be able to speak English---it's the nation's official language. And you can't even get a driver's license in Florida unless you can pass the test in English. So.... Their work was shoddy at best, they messed up more than they did. Left a mess in the yard for weeks and ruined our grass in multiple places. We had to have them come and fix multiple things that the crew did not do correctly to begin with. Multiple calls, many failed promises. Lies, all lies. The owner only wants money. He even asked us one time, "Can.you help me out, and give me a couple of thousand?" No, it's a business transaction, I'm not "helping" you. All the owner wanted was the money...get the job done, and get his money. He didn't care whether it was done correctly or not. Or even if the job was complete. We were adamant that we would not pay him until every single thing was complete and approved. And we did not pay him until we were at least "somewhat satisfied". Some things he "fixed", are not really fixed. We just gave up and said we would get it done ourselves. We are very disappointed with the work that was done. They put the house numbers on crooked, off center, (even after the second try---yes we complained, they took down, and rehung it crooked again.) the cabinets were not done properly. Came back and said he needed more $ for counter tops....already paid $8K; he said he needed another $800. Lights under the cabinet were a mess, supposed to have been part of the contract. But he told us in the end, he was just being gracious to us and did it for free. Work took twice as long as he promised. He's full of hot air. DO NOT TRUST CARLOS LIRA. DO NOT HIRE! If you do, you're setting yourself up for a huge nightmare at best. AGAIN, DO NOT HIRE! read more

Carlos Lira, owner/manager, took one look at my newly purchased/newly built home. He knew what to do. We solved the insulation problem lowering the garage heat inside at least 25 -30 degrees. Fixed the food odors by renovating the newly built kitchen. Added a vent hood and put the microwave in a lower cabinet. Now my entire house does NOT smell like food odor every time I cook. We renovated the kitchen pantry and 3 large closets by taking out wire shelving. Then, designed closets with wood shelving and specially built open wood cabinets. Found a 'hot wire' in the attic. Rewired the house in the attic. The kitchen was designed for a side-by-side regrigerator. The wrong size was installed and we replaced it. Kitchen cabinet flooring not finished under the cabinets. Replaced the flooring. Even the hardware on the doors was missing. Installed the hardward. Vents were cut above the doors - then you could hear people speak from back of house to the front. Replaced vents with solid walls. Carlos Lira's team of workers are knowledgeable and hard workers. They accomplished many tasks with each visit. I always saw great improvement once they finished for the day and they did a through job each time. I had a great experience with everyone! I highly recommend Carlos and his team of workmen! The job took some time but it was worth it! read more

I've worked with ACL Remodeling twice now, and both times they've proven to be a solid choice for home repairs. Most recently, Carlos and his crew removed half the ceiling on my lower level to repair structural framing and handled some electrical updates as well. They showed up ready to work, clearly knew what they were doing, and completed everything efficiently. I've tried other contractors before, but ACL has earned my repeat business. I'd give them a strong 8/10--good work, professional attitude, and trustworthy. Definitely recommend them for residential projects. read more

Do Not Hire! They take your money, over charge you and charges multiple times for the same items. They installed a sliding door united upside down, left me with an unfinished back room, broken fan light dangling from the ceiling, and painting and finish work was never completed, and bathroom vanity was never installed. I have asked to be reimbursed multiple times, but Carlos always makes empty promises that it will get done. Again, DO NOT Hire! read more

Carlos Lira who owns the company was made aware of the mold problem as you can see in the pictures everything was completely torn out and everything was replaced at his expense and finish the job in a timely manner he made good on his word. He did not have any women with him this time he brought two males who were very fast clean polite. We no longer have any mold problems, read more

very disappointed with our experience. they told us the could build a deck, but after completion we discovered that nothing met code. the steps leading down the hill do not even touch the ground. some boards are already warping. charged us a high amount for a small addition in spacing. they did refund us about 1/3 of what we paid them, but it will cost us additional fees to have it built correctly. I cannot rate their kitchen or bath remodels, but cannot recommend for decks. read more

Carlos and his various crews are outstanding! Thursday morning after Hurricane Milton ripped off a huge pine branch and summersaulted it over my roof leaving a hole behind then speared it into the side of my garage, another hole, before finally wedging it between my house and the neighbor's, I left a message on Carlos' phone asking for help. Within 15 minutes he called me back! By 4:00 that afternoon, his crew had put a tarp over the roof hole, cut up and removed the huge pine branch cleaning up debris as they went, and Carlos had reviewed the damage everywhere and given me a time table and costs for repairs. All repairs were completed in a week and a half. Unbelievable!....but very true. And that included totally replacing insulation and the ceiling in my breakfast room, fixing the hole in the roof, washing the roof, fixing the hole in the side of the garage, and painting all areas affected. Oh, and noticing that my garage floor was wet (it had been for years!), he discovered my washing machine connection was leaking behind the wall and fixed that, too. His various crews were knowledgable, courteous, kind, and patient as I practiced my fledgling Spanish on them. ALL the work was A-1 Quality and I have already recommended Carlos' company, ACL Remodeling to many of my friends. Thanks, Carlos and company, for great work and for always being on time! read more

Carlos Lira of ACL Remodeling is AMAZING! He is well worth the price and the guarantees that come with his teams work! Carlos was very thorough and was more than willing to explain to us all details regarding our renovation project. Carlos was super professional, nice, patient and went above and beyond. He meticulously checked everything during and after the remodel. He brought to our attention the issues that needed to be addressed and made sure all was done to our liking. Carlos and his team did an excellent job. We really appreciate it. Thank you, Carlos! read more
