The problem was my backrent was due NOW or I would have been evicted. My credit is terrible right now so banks were out. I just needed to make it to payday, which fell after my rent deadline. They're the only ones that DOESN'T check credit score or employment like other companies advertise (looking at you ACE), just steady source of income and an active bank account. I think they require more info if you do it online. Some companies require you to be at a job for 3 or more months but what about the people who are newly employed with a better, higher paying job but is between paydays? I paid my loan off IN FULL a few days later as I promised when I got paid. Go here, people! One thing I didn't like is they make you put references down with the in-store application. I don't think they check them because I just made up some names and numbers and had no problems.

But my credit is not so great - they knew that going in. I called the night before and spent 20 minutes going thru everything ; and was only applying for $500.00. I brought all the documents needed. Bank statements, D/L, proof of income, and my debit card. So after about 40 minutes I was sure the loan was approved. But NO! Corp. needed a 2nd government issued Photo ID which would be a passport or a gun permit. REALLY? That takes weeks to get. I called Corp. and they said it was the underwriter's dept. but I couldn't speak to them because there's no personnel in Underwriting. WHAT? Is anyone else confused at this point???? I asked again then WHO made that decision? Underwriting they said. But there's no personnel in that department. No one at the branch could give an explanation, most never heard of it, and the Manager said it was out of his control. I've now lost about another 45 minutes out of my day and I said: Look at me! I'm standing here! I exist! Look at my D/L ! They even called my cell phone to be sure it was me. Seriously??? I've owned real estate, I've worked for almost 50 years, I was married and widowed, I have children, But still no $$ for an emergency medical expense. I'm 64 born & raised in the US .. I had drivers license, S/S card, bank statements, I've lived at the same place for 5 years, even had my Social Security documents with me. Deny me for bad credit. OK, that I would understand..I fell on hard times 2 years ago, we've all been there at some point. But deny me because they couldn't verify me?? What the @#$% does that mean? No one knows.
