I was nice and polite and immediately said Thank you very much after transaction was completed, she completely turned her back on me and started talking to the teller next to her like I was not even present. I was…read moreexpecting a wire transfer to a bank out of town, and someone at FUB erroneously presented the wrong last name, and my bank rejected the transfer. Not a big deal typically, people make mistakes and that is understood. However, it's the means in which you correct your mistakes that makes an impression on the consumer. I contacted the wire department before they closed, and nobody was willing to go the extra mile to correct their error. I was told I would just have to wait until the next day, since they "don't do anything" after 4pm. Disappointing. In contrast, the lady I was speaking with at my bank UFCU in Austin impressed me. She was going around to different departments, kept checking back with the wire department, even had them sort through 60 similar transfers to see if they could pinpoint what happened. I know most people in Lubbock have no love for Austin, but FUB could afford learn a thing or two.
