I have a study Bible that was falling apart. It needed a new cover and for the spine to be rebuilt. I found these people on the web, then went to visit them. I wanted to be sure I trusted them with my Bible. It is very dear to me, not only because of the content, but all of my handwritten notes, records of important life events, and the emotional attachment I have to the book. After visiting, I was impressed with their professionalism and the examples of their work. For $90 they completely rebuilt my Bible, new leather cover, added some note pages for me. The book looks great and is very sturdy. It only took about a week to have the work done. They do restoration on many other types of books as well. If you like books, you should stop by. I had a Bible that I loved but I had used it so much, it was literally falling apart. I had finally stopped using it for fear I would lose parts of it. I had heard of Ace Book Bindery several over the years but had not gotten the courage to let go of my Bible to someone I didn't know in order to hopefully get it repaired. I recently made myself just do. I took the Bible to the guys at Ace Book Bindery. I still was skeptical of what it would look like when I got it back, but I knew I couldn't continue to use it the way it was. It has been difficult waiting to see what they have done, but today I picked it up and I am so very pleased with the results. When I took it in, the cover was missing and it was starting to come apart at the seams. Well, from the outside you could never tell it was the same Bible. The leather cover is beautiful, easy to handle and appears to be very durable. When you look on the inside, it is the same familiar book I remember with all my notes, but with one additional feature. They have ironed each page! It looks beautiful! I am so happy with the results. If I have a need for rebinding again, I will not hesitate. I will immediately take to the guys at Ace Book Bindery. I've had a bible for about 35+(?) years. It was well-used and worn. I needed a new one, but really loved the old one. It would have been far cheaper to buy a new one, but I chose to have the old one rebound. I found Ace and shipped my treasured bible off to them. I love what they did. They never acknowledged receipt of my bible, which would have eased my mind. However, they did an excellent job and it looks awesome. Just three things: it was misplaced for a while and took them forever to get it done...only after I contacted them about it. Also, they are not good at answering emails. Better to call them directly. And finally, when they say a certain dollar amount and UP, figure on an extra $100 or so for the UP. That was a real shocker for me. I was afraid my husband would kill me. But my sewn bible had to be cut and re-sewn, rather than glued like a cheaper book would be. Now, long after the sticker shock has worn off, it was totally worth it. I love my "new" bible and am so glad I did it. All notes intact. Totally beautiful. If they could have done anything differently, I would have liked it to be more rounded on the spine. It left here with a more rounded spine, but came back slightly more squared and blocky, enough that it looked strange for a while, until I got used to it. Also could have used some slightly raised lines across the spine to give it a bit of depth. The spine seemed a bit flat. But overall, it's awesomely beautiful. Now I don't even notice those things. I got the two-tone rust cowhide leather. I'm really pleased. They are real craftsmen who know their craft. read more

My husband and I took our bibles to Ace Book Bindery and they did such an awesome job. Both of the bibles were in bad shape and they visited with us what they thought should be done to repair them. They restitched them and recovered them with genuine leather. Even ironed each page and added more ribbon to mark pages and also more clean pages at the beginning and end of the bibles. We are so proud of the job that Nathan and his dad did for us. They assured us they would take good care of our precious bibles and they did just that. They mailed them back to us on a Saturday afternoon by secure priority mail and they were delivered to our door on Monday around noon. Their talents are to be commended. I feel the bibles are in much better shape than when they were new. We're so proud of them and the outstanding job Ace Book Bindery did. They are top of their class in their trade. Well worth considering them for any book rebinding job you might have. I give them 10 A+++++++++ rating. read more
