Bunny did our taxes in 2018. We moved to Nevada in 2019. I received a letter from the IRS in July 2019 that Bunny never filed my federal taxes! I called her several times & she kept saying don't worry California will dismiss the charges. My tax person in Nevada wrote a letter to the IRS. Bunny never offered to write a letter. I received a certified letter this week to pay or put a lean on my property. The late filing fee is $1182.85 with late charges now with a total of $1206.87. My tax person in Nevada said she should own up to her mistake & pay it. Do not use this tax company, they will nothing to help you! My next step is to file a complaint to Better business bureau. read more

Very helpful, nice people ! Been coming here for quite a few years. 100% recommend

Sonja used to take care of us, but now that she has left, we can't get a call back from Cynthia or anyone at this location. Cynthia has left us wondering IF our taxes have been filed. read more

Since started doing our own taxes, the first year with Accutax was great, the next two not so much. We felt our tax preparer wasn't able to answer our questions and didn't have a thorough understanding of tax laws. read more

Sonja was helpful, patient and awesome to work with! Thank you for helping me get the most out of my tax returns! I highly recommend these folks to anyone looking to get a maximum refund on their tax submissions. read more

Called to set an appointment and got the answering machine. Couple days later I got a call from Cynthia, I had told her that I was driving and that it wasn't a good time to set an appt bc I needed to check my calendar. She said she would text me. I have yet to recieve a text. I called the office back, got the answering machine yet again. Needless to say, I went elsewhere. read more

I can not express my gratitude enough. We have been having our taxes prepared by the same person/business for 13 years. I've had my doubts in the last few years & after this years tax season was over, we were left owing thousands. Very disappointed needless to say. I then contacted Sonja of Accutax to prepare my sons taxes. While she was gathering information regarding his taxes, she asked me a few questions about ours. In a very short time, Sonja had that number down by thousands. We are filing an amendment & could not be happier. I highly recommend Sonja at Accutax. I can't wait to have her look over last years, we may have over paid the feds & nothing would make me happier than to have them send me a check. read more

Roger has been helping with my personal tax returns for many years and has been extremely detailed and has found deductions I didn't even know I had. I have recently opened a business and he has helped been working with me on setting up spreadsheets to track expenses, determine tax liabilities and tax advantages that I should be taking advantage of throughout the year. I highly recommend this office for both personal and small business tax help! read more

This is THE place to go to for all your tax needs & questions! Cynthia is wonderful, so friendly and knowledgeable! She definitely knows her business. This is a family business, we should support small businesses. Give them a call and they can get you in immediately! read more

Very upset that 2 important tax forms were missed in the filing of my taxes. No return calls, responses to text messages, etc.

Ms. Bunny over at Acutax is the best Tax Preparer we have ever known. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She always takes time to answer questions honestly, each client is important and she gives each one her highest quality of service, she will definitely make sure you will get the most out of your yearly tax returns. She is punctual and she's an awesome person. We trust her knowledge and have never had to second guess when entrusting her to do our tax preparation. Simply put. She is the best buy far. read more

I sit on the board of directors for a small non-profit corporation that has a tax exemption. Although we do not have to pay taxes, we are still required to file with both the IRS and the state. I have done the taxes myself for the last several years, but requirements have changed, and I needed some professional help. I called Sonja at AccuTax in Oakley, and although she first said she did not think she could do it, she looked through her computer and found the forms I needed to file our taxes. She was very cordial, and said, "Come on in and we will learn how to do this together." Sonja was fast, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I wish I had known how little they charge for this type of service, and I would have done this years ago. I will definitely go back next year. So if you need a tax professional, there is no need to search any further. Call Sonja! read more

My husband and I were fortunate enough to find Accutax on Yelp. We were beyond anxious about taxes this year because last year was so bad for us (we ended up paying over $15k). Sonja far exceeded her glowing reviews! She was very welcoming, kind and thorough. She helped make an otherwise intimidating situation comfortable. She even offered to take a look at the taxes we did on our own last year! Her prices are also extremely reasonable. We will be back next year! read more

not exactly sure why Cynthia has terrible reviews on here. Been going here for years and Cynthia is by far the best tax lady I have ever been too. Very friendly and knows what she is doing. And always finishes my taxes in a timely manner !! read more

I had Sonja prepare my taxes and let me tell you she's awesome! It took about half an hour and was so easy. I brought in all the tax related things I had got in the mail and answered all her questions and voila! I get money back! Sonja was really knowledgeable and personable, I fully recommend this place. The cost was also less than three other high starred services found here on yelp (I called around!) By the way, I'm pretty hard to please so it's impressive when I find something worth 5 stars. :-) read more

Cynthia who answers the phones here has terrible customer service and is extremely rude in the way she talks. If you can't respect customers over the phone, you probably can't do it in person either. Definitely better off taking your tax filing elsewhere. She makes it seem like it is an inconvenience that you need an appointment to get your taxes done. read more

Sonja was quick and very knowledgeable. I use to do my taxes myself but since I was a first time home buyer I didn't want to risk anything. She is very professional and helped got me my biggest return ever! I will for sure see her again next year. read more

horrible service dont go there . there's a lady called Bunny working there that does not know what she is doing . she made me and my wife file for injured spouse when we didn't need to and gave us false dates when we should expect our return and they were wrong. she also almost made a four thousand dollar mistake that I had to challenge her and made her go over my taxes again and then realized she missed something. So now we our stuck in the dark not knowing when we should get our taxes done. please dont go to them no read more

I have had Sonja prepare my taxes for three years now and I could not be more pleased with the end results. She is very helpful in staying up with all the current tax information and will ask me questions I had never even considered. She even went back and fixed my previous taxes (before I started going to her) to get me an extra 2000 dollars I had missed when filing. She is great at making and keeping all appointments and will work with the schedule of a busy working mom of 2. I cannot thank her enough for everything and I will be going back to her for MANY years to come! Thank you AccuTax & Thank you Sonja!!! read more

Went here after H&R Block wanted to charge me $554 for simple return had my return done in three days for less than half that price with an office staff that was friendly and efficient. I used to do my own taxes and now that I own a house and run a business, it was too much for me. Thank goodness I found Sonja at ACCUTAX. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I feel like I'm catching up with an old friend, not having a service completed. Sonja has done my taxes for 3 years now and I cannot recommend her enough. I even forgot to include a deduction and she fixed it for me after the fact. Amazing customer service, response time and personality. Go see Sonja- you'll be happy you did. read more

There is nothing "Accurate" with this Accutax...they are incompetent! They prepared our 2011 multi-state tax return. There was no way to know that it was too complicated for them until, in 2015, we received a notice from the Franchise Tax Board stating that we owed an additional $4,017, including interest, in Calif. State tax for 2011. Susan, the one who prepared our taxes, was no longer there but Bunny "researched" and helped me protest it to ask for more information. She assured me that they double check all their returns and was confident this one was done correctly. In May, 2017, I received another letter from the state with more of an explanation. Bunny and Roger (the business owner), after re-doing the taxes numerous times, still did not see their errors until the state auditor basically re-did the tax form for them. It turns out they made at least THREE errors, adding up to the amount we now owe of $4,300! I would think Accutax should at least pay the $600 in interest, but when I asked Roger if they had any liability in this, he replied Nooooooo! So, the bottom line is that, in addition to being incompetent, they do not stand behind their work. Please save yourself some heartache and stay away from this business and tell all your friends to do the same! read more

My wife and I have used Accutax for several years they are an excellent company always straightforward decent prices and excellent communication. We have our business and personal taxes done with them to this point have never had a problem. read more

Came here to get my taxes done last year the process was fine everything went well... So I thought, until I received a letter from the IRS a year later stating that they didn't input a form that I had given them. So now I owe the IRS $1000 due in 3 weeks. Mind you this missing form that was not put in on my return was not missing it was attached to my return accutax forgot to input the numbers on my return. They are far from experts. Will never go back glad this happened before I had to file this years will be going elsewhere and I suggest others do as well! read more

Called about 3 or 4 days ago to schedule an appointment. Spoke to Cynthia over the phone and she said I was good to come in on Saturday at 3. Once I came to her office the door was locked and when she came up to unlock the door she had a confused look on her face. She opened up and told me what it was that I needed and I told her I had an appointment at 3. She instantly got frustrated and I wasn't sure why. I told her that I spoke to someone over the phone prior to coming in and she said she had no idea who I was and that I did not have an appointment, she was actually on her way home. From the second she open the door to the end of the 5 minute conversation we had, she was rude, unprofessional and very temperamental. She told me she recently inherited the business and that she felt stressed and overwhelmed. I just came to do my taxes and instead wasted my time. Do your taxes anywhere else but here, heck your better off doing them yourself than trying to do them here. Under Cynthias new management, this business won't last long. read more
