Excellent communication. Not too much or too little- just right. Highly recommend them for their professionalism, follow up calls, explanation of process, and especially willingness to help me without up front fees and no unexpected bills because they only get paid if they are able to collect. Context: I am a woman with no previous knowledge of court processes or filing for collections (to affect a debtors credit) if they fail to pay what the court already granted me in my case. I was dealing with a person who lied to the court about me, abused court processes when he retaliated with a frivolous claim against me with no evidence to back up his claim. When I first contacted Accounts Receivable, I was stressed because the debtor in my civil court case was refusing to pay me, refusing to communicate with me, and I was in the process of wage garnishment with the court. I was not sure I wanted services at that time, so I told Maria to call back after I saw the answer from the debtor to the court, aprox. a few weeks later. Court processes require specific procedures to be followed in order to collect a debt. I had no prior experience with said procedures. I received a return call from Accounts Receivable at the time I had suggested. At first, I did not remember the name "Accounts Receivable" and thought that sounded like a department name and not a company name, but I did remember speaking with Maria. I did some research to ensure this was a legitimate company and felt satisfied by what I found online. I was even more stressed at that time because the debtor told the court in his "interrogatories" (court document required for the debtor to disclose bank and employment info to the court in order for the court to establish wage garnishment to ensure I collect the debt) that he could not afford to pay. In his vexatious litigations statement, the debtor made all manner of false claims against me; he stated he was a single father with no bank and no job, when a month earlier he stated to the judge in court that his wife (not "ex-wife") wanted him to sell me the broken property he sold me. It is incredulous to think any judge in America would grant someone full custody in a divorce if he had no bank account and no job. He claimed he was communicating with me and making payments, told the court I had sent people pretending to be collections agents to his home, called and messaged him to the point of vexation. He filed a frivolous lawsuit against me for harassment even though the only contact I had with him was to send 3 letters by USPS in attempt to collect the debt (because the court documents state the first thing I must do is communicate the debt to the debtor in writing). All of this showed me the debtor was intentionally not going to pay, so I decided to hire Accounts Receivable because I had no other recourse for collecting payment, and I did not want the debtor to get away with what he had done. This was a small claims case for under $500, but Accounts Receivable still agreed to help, so I agreed to their fee because it was better than getting nothing. I had every reason to believe I would get nothing if I did not hire someone to collect on my behalf. Accounts Receivable spent over a month or longer trying to collect the debt. Unsurprisingly, the debtor claimed that they were trying to scam him and refused to pay. This was not unexpected when they called to tell me their attempts had failed, but they did offer additional recourse, even though they would not be paid unless they were able to collect. This suggests they were willing to go above and beyond. They could have simply said, it is not enough money to be worth more effort extended without pay, but that is not what they did. Freddie, the case manager, offered to file an official form after the time frame the court allows, which would report failure to collect so it would appear on the debtor's credit for 7 years. I agreed to this, as by now I knew I would never see the money, but wanted the debter to suffer the consequences of his actions. What I want you to know if you are considering working with Accounts Receivable is that the work this company does is worth the value they provide. It is worth the peace of mind to know someone else is on it, so you can get back to living your life. They are worth it. Your peace is worth it. It is a shame we have to seek out people to fight for us, but at the end of the day, it is worth more than the money just to know there are good people like Freddie and his team doing this work for me so I can just rest and not try to do everything myself. I believe most negative reviews are posted by the debtor, of course they're not going to be happy dealing with this firm collecting money from them. That's understandable. But this is where you post reviews for the services they do provide to their clients. I am happy so far as a client, they actually collected money that was owed to me, the process had started and the debtor is on a payment plan with them, that's good enough for me. They did not help me at all. I was already to collect $10K. They convinced me they could help me to get $22,000. I got $10k but am still out $29k+. They could have taken the debtor to court to collect all, but they refused even after I begged repeatedly. The loans were in default. This is a follow up to my original post and a response to Karla B's posting. Please read my prior post and their response to decide for yourself if this is a company you'd like to do business with: It is absolutely laughable that this company posts personal information about each of the negative reviewers as replies. I LOVE that they speculate as to why I paid them to close the account with "4 days left on the contract" after they made contact with the debtor. They never made contact with my ex, which is why I closed the account. I paid my personal attorney to file the collections judgement/wage garnishment. If all that was left was the writ of execution, Accounts Receivable charging me $1800 to do that is ludicrous. I decided to close the account and pay $634 (in addition to the $100 I paid to open the account) so I didn't have to keep throwing good money after bad. My 10% termination fee of $634 was to close the account for the $6,340 I was asking them to collect. They never offered to show me any "background check" or asset check or whatever Karla is saying they did. For $734, you better believe I asked to see it. When I called to cancel the account after seeing such abysmal progress through the online system, they never mentioned they had made contact with the party they we're pursuing (my ex husband). The first I've heard of them making contact was reading it here from Ms. Karla. Seems suspicious to me. They never told me there was only 4 days left or I could have gotten out of it for free. What person who's waited 2 years for a divorce to finalize WOULDN'T wait 4 days to save $634?? Duh, Karla. Look at my yelp elite status and think before you talk. To this day, my ex still owes me $6,340 but I've chosen to move on with my life. In fact, you can even look my case up in the San Mateo County, CA Superior Court public records to see that it's still active (search Araneda, my previous married name). If I made arrangements with my ex, the case would be closed in the public courts. It's called FACT CHECKING, KARLA B, you're in the collections business, try it for a change. In the end, these people are super shady. They try to intimidate the customers they are collecting for rather than the debtors. Oh and on top of that, if you look at the filtered reviews, some of the glowing 5 star ones look like they're actually from their own employees, they're all written anonymously around the same date. I don't know if this company is a scam or they're just a horrible and unethical company. They had called me on behalf of their client, saying that I owed them 600 dollars for a car part for a Chevy or something of that nature and I needed to pay it today or would be facing legal action. (I don't have a Chevy and my cars are leases so I would never order a part myself). I tried to explain that they had the wrong person because they had my all Information but incorrect address. Long story short they kept trying to intimidate and threaten me into paying and said that I'm focusing too much on the wrong address part-- maybe because a wrong address is a big hint that they have the wrong person??? The woman on the phone said that if I don't pay it I could face legal action and then I'd have to pay even more. She actually said "and that's what will happen to you" ... what a joke. Need to send this company to collections. I sent them $100 to begin a search in an attempt to collect a debt. Since the search turned up nothing, they told me they would refund the $100. I found out about Accounts Receivable from our distributor who also uses them, but couldn't find any reviews on-line for them, so I am writing this for others out there that may be looking for some information on them. We are a business that deals with large quantity imports and have a lot of clients that owe us money which are other businesses. It's been difficult getting the money from these clients that have decided to not pay u so we contacted accounts receivable (AR) to collect these debts for us. Although we have submitted nearly 100 accounts so far, they have collected on only 11 of them after two weeks. These are debtors that we completely gave up on so we are happy to see this money come in. Hopefully they will collect the rest of these accounts for us, but only time will tell and they said there is no guarantees that they can collect on them all, which I think is fair. They have a lot of other services that businesses may be interested in but since we have only used them for collecting on delinquent debts I can't review them on anything else, but hopefully this is useful for someone. read more

I've found Ashley and John to have poor communication skills...they interrupt and over talk you constantly. After requesting $900 from me to cover legal fees, nothing has been resolved. He made a promise to me that if I made a payment for the judgement against me, the funds would NOT be released to the plaintiff untill she notified the court that the debt was paid in full, and that I would get documentaion from the court to that effect. In reality, AccountsReceivable.com paid her the money and my debt is still on the court records as NOT paid. Do NOT make any payments to them. You will still owe the money. read more

I signed up with them as a Creditor 3 years ago. They didn't do much except waiting for payments from my debtor. Then when they got them, they didn't forward my portion of the payments. I spent days and months trying to get my payments and straighten out their accounting of my case. Then after the debtor made a lump sump payment to complete her agreement, Accounts Receivable did not forward my portion of that money. Their receptionist answered the phone, took my information several times, but no one returned my inquiries including the Operations Director John Trizzano whom I already communicated in the early stage of my case more than a year ago and emailed a month now. When asked for her name, the receptionist disconnected the call. It's now almost 1 year since the debtor fulfilled her obligation, but Accounts Receivable has been hiding from me knowing I live in another state. I'm getting a lawyer to go after these people. Don't make the same mistake I did. Below Zero is my rating for Accounts Receivable and their service. Their Better Business Bureau (BBB) Rating is an "F" and shows Accounts Receivable has scammed numerous other customers. It's unsettling that they continue to cheat people like this. I wish I could give this company 0 stars, honestly with my husband and I being in our own buisness for over 10 years this company should be ashamed with their customer service. I have a bill I need to pay but don't know what its for or what company it came from, but I know its for 392 dollars. I called needing help to find the account number and pay the bill, but all they did was hang up on me when I said I need the account number or I told them it showed up on my credit report and I don't have the information. We hired Accounts Receivable to collect on 3 cases almost 2 years ago! One of the cases we have been receiving payment on ONLY AFTER we call to follow up on. Some of these payments were "lost" and had to be resent taking weeks, some of them the amounts were wrong. But we did get paid on this one. Another one was a simple bounced check to collect on,we seriously never got a straight answer to why they couldn't collect on it. They would pass us around to different account representatives, it seems their people don't stay long a the company, and now the company that bounced the check filed for bankruptcy, so we can never collect on this. The last one was a person that reversed the payment after receiving our services. It wasn't that she wasn't happy, we have an email from her thanking us for our services and asking for a refund because she had lost her job. When we said no, so she took it upon herself to reverse the payment. We tried to fight it with quickbooks but when they couldn't help us we turned to Accounts Receivable. They charged us $850 for filing fee and after almost a year of pressing them, they said they couldn't take it to court. They offered to refund me but only sent a check for $529.00 I could have on my own sued the bounced check which was for $10,000 and I could have had my lawyer send the revered payment person a collection letter 2 years ago to recover the $5,000. Now I am out all this money. Accounts Receivable has horrible, disorganized service. I would advise anyone to PLEASE take the time to do the collections yourself. You think you are paying for a professional service but they are a bunch of amateur. I am just sorry I didn't read all the yelp reviews before taking their call and offer. read more

We know it isn't an easy task but ,come on, after three months of giving them all the information they collected about 10% of it. i was contacted by these guys to pay a bill. I was not sure whether or not it was a valid bill so I requested a copy of the bill. They never sent it. Fast forward a few months and I am getting calls with a lot of attitude to pay the bill. I again request the bill. The guy on the line tells me that "I sent it months ago, I have a return receipt that you opened it, this is a delaying tacit". I know that I have my computer set not to send return receipts, so they are liars. I calmed down and had my secretary call a few days later.
