They open around 2pm, just in time for you to finish your lunch and stroll on over. The flavours are wonderful, easily the best I had while and better than anything in London. Their house flavour is a wonderful mix of custard and chocolate, a definite winner. They do takeout and it's done by the weight, choose your polystyrene container and they will fill it with as many flavours as you want, and you do get a hefty amount of ice cream. But it doesn't last long, it will get eaten. One thing that they also do is fill a brioche bun with ice cream, it's done elsewhere but this was the first place I tried it. MIND BLOWN. I had no idea it would be so good. Get yourself on the bus, out of Florence, up the hill and to this gelateria, you won't regret it.

Upon ordering and entering the establishment, it gave off the cutest old time coffee shop vibe. The staff was working diligently to process orders. We watched this well-oiled machine of a staff for several minutes while they passed out 10-15 affogatos within 30 seconds. We sat on the curb and enjoyed ours in the glass cups they gave us. This was a highlight for us. The creamy gelato with espresso on the spoon was perfect for a hot day.
