We finally were taken to a room at 1:45 (remember my appointment was at 1:15) AND we were told to arrive by 12:30 for the intake process. After being taken to a room, we were told the doctor would be "right in". We heard the doctor outside our door, thinking he was coming to see us next. He went into the room next to ours to see that patient that he arrived AFTER we did. At that time, we decided to leave because this was ridiculous. I came for therapy on my wrist and am in pain, but my time is valuable so I'll find someone else to assess my injury.

Perhaps once a year or so, one of my leg muscles or somewhere in my knee joint would flare up during training and slow my running nearly to a halt. The experience was always incredibly demoralizing. And perhaps more demoralizing was the fact that repeated bouts of physical therapy didn't seem to prevent the issue from occurring in the future. It always felt like something was missing, so I searched around for an expert that could help me piece it together. I sat down with Jason for my initial evaluation, prepared for another month long routine of stretching and glute strengthening exercises. But even within the first half hour of meeting me, Jason was already subverting my expectations. He effortlessly identified a lack of hip mobility and tight quads -- the ultimate "etiology" of the knee pain as he called it. He sent me off with some hip mobilization exercises, and when I came back soon after he offered to dry needle my quads. The difference these two changes made were night-and-day. The nightmare of another month of PT had vanished in an instant, and I was back to running nearly pain-free. And what's more so is that the results have lasted. A few short weeks in Jason's care, and I've been back to the running grind nearly flawlessly for months on end now. Jason is truly different than other PTs I've worked with in the past. He clearly has a remarkable level of experience and a principled approach to rehabilitation that yields sustained results. I am incredibly happy I chose Jason for my PT and would highly recommend him to other runners.

I really wanted someone I could communicate my problems to and who could communicate with me so that I could understand everything. Dr. Zhao was the answer to my problems. She speaks English and some Mandarin! I had told Dr. Zhao that it was my first time to acupuncture and told her my problems. She explained everything thoroughly to me and put me at ease by answering all my questions without any judgment. She was very soft spoken, calm, and friendly. During the procedure, I was worried about pain with the needles, but I barely felt a thing! It was very relaxing! Dr. Zhao was able to pinpoint all the tender areas on my body (that I did not even know were tender to the touch)! She is that good! Dr. Zhao was able to relate my tender areas to my medical problem. There are many rooms at this center, and everything looked very clean. While I was resting w/the needles in me, Dr. Zhao put on a heater to warm me up and also some spa music to relax me. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! Chicago Whole Health Center accepts insurance. It's a witness for the insurance company don't let that person in the back with you. If you can't have a witness in back with you then I would highly suggest if possible having multiple people on the phone to listen to him so you have witnesses. He does not record answers the way you answer them and he's legally supposed to. I had to answer the same questions multiple times only for him to continue to repeat what I said back wrong to me. After him doing this I did document how he was hurting me and I wasn't sure what he was writing down because he kept repeating things back to me wrong. He will definitely lie as he did on my IME report. He also stated I didn't have my MRI with me. The girls at the front desk were too busy talking in the back to do anything. My driver had to get loud to get their attention. Then as soon as the girl answered his question she walked away. Nobody bothered to ask for it. I didn't even know why I was there as I was not even told why. I went in not in pain as I have been resting my knee physically doing nothing. I left his office and for three days after having a lot of pain and having to hold on to the wall to walk. He continued to excessively push hard on my knee. Even with me stating you are hurting me please stop he continued to push over and over again in the same spot. Even with me grabbing his hand to get him to stop he continued pushing harder. When I asked him if there was something I could be doing to help and what he thought, he said I haven't even looked at your doctor's notes or MRI so I don't know. With him saying I haven't looked at your doctor's notes or MRI I figured he already had the MRI. Otherwise why wouldn't you say I don't have access to your MRI. Managers at my company asked me what happened as I was in better condition prior to seeing him. He does not care about patients. All he cares about is money and will write whatever the insurance company wants. If your insurance company wants you to see him get an attorney because you will need it. There's a reason he was the only doctor in the state of Illinois that I could see according to Sedgwick.
