This acts as a recollection and review of my experience having my household's taxes prepared by JRM…read moreFinancial Associates. 06 March 2026 - My wife and I had our initial consultation. John Molle was extremely hospitable and courteous. My only complaint was failing to request pricing information, which I'm sure both parties missed due to our conversation. 10 March 2026 - We submitted all of our documents: 4 W2s, 1 1099, and 1 document for unemployment post-childbirth. 21 March 2026 - confirmation of finalized preparation via email requesting owner review and an invitation to review the documents together. 23 March 2026 - Requested clarification of pricing due to invoice ambiguity and disparity between previous tax preparers. 2.5 hours for preparation costs seemed excessive ($450), and the return amount seemed incorrect. Also requested if they can take preparation costs from the return amount. 30 March 2026 - We notified JRM of a potential mistake made on their end regarding a W2. The issue was that their interface didn't register a code for a particular box. Rather than entering the data where it needed to be, Matthew entered the data in the incorrect box, contrary to the instruction of the W-2. This was a $590 error. 31 March 2026 - A correction was made without accountability for the erroneous action. A phone call was scheduled with John. We partook in a conversation. Unbeknownst to us, he believed my wife to have been another customer. Matthew called shortly after. We had a conversation attempting to convey that 2.5 hours of work that resulted in an inaccurate preparation isn't deserving of 2.5 hours of pay. Matthew then proceeded to deny responsibility, stating that the email that invited collaborative review was the catch-all that made his mistake, blatantly covered in the W-2 instruction, not the fault of the preparer. He then continued with saying the conversation was no longer necessary, and it was clear we never intended to pay. Subsequent to the conversation, we were given a discount to rectify the situation, which we were appreciative of. However, all we were seeking was an equitable transaction that left us with a feeling of assurance that we were utilizing a company that valued integrity and customer satisfaction. We left with discomfort, experiencing neither while blatantly being disrespected.

Matt, Since you have incorrect information I will let you know that when I spoke to the IRS they told me the reason for my penalties was due to the fact that your Office never e-filed my taxes. I paid my amount due on time and your office simply did not submit the e-filings. I explained this to your father who kept telling me he would take care of it. (This by the way was in November so I did in fact have contact with your father after August). Since he continued to blow me off I told him I was paying the penalties so that they don't accrue more. He told me he was trying to contact the IRS and would get back to me. He Never did. He constantly blew me off. Yes I have emails and the texts that show our communications And my several attempts at resolving this issue.

Ken and Paul were easy to understand and made this ordeal easy to understand. There are Larger groups here in Flemington that seem to talk down to you and make you feel that you are not welcome into their group. A lot of Finance groups just want to sell you an insurance investment where you are locked into them for 7 to 10 years. Ken laid out a solid plan, They performed a stress test and came out with a plan to see if you will outlive your retirement money. They don't take control of your money, just manage how it should be invested. Your money will stay with Schwab, Etrade, or another firm. I enjoyed being treated like an adult without feeling like a 2nd rate citizen. We don't have alot of money but, they still made my wife and I feel like we where the only thing important to them. I would recommand Alliance Wealth to my friend and family.
