I was in town for a different reason but I had heard about United Supermarket which is a division of Albertsons. This grocery store is like what Whole Foods used to be before Amazon. It has a food court with GREAT food and a small bar with happy hour, which has wine & beer and a small selection of snacks. This supermarket is a great place to go drink wine or beer and hang out.

I was skeptical however I see that this place is known for it's ready meals! I chose a salmon, rice and broccoli...that I could pop in the oven or microwave. It was a perfect serving, with the perfect amount of seasoning....and I enjoyed it for a light lunch before I attend a wedding today! I brought my ice packs and cooler just to shop here after a long pulmonology appointment for my daughter on February 17, 2026. I'm learning that the HEB brands are okay in most cases, but their chips and other items have bioengineered (genetically-modified) ingredients that are probably also in other items I buy, but it's disappointing... something to watch since there still isn't much information about the health risks. The staff members stay fairly busy so they don't go out of their way to assist folks, but our cashier was real friendly. The Texas section is one of my favorites. There are so many neat gifts for all my Texans. It has a gas station too. Happy shopping, y'all.

My brother in law ordered a coffee and ended up spilling it all over the floor and himself. Four or Five employees from the grocery department came over immediately and helped clean it up. The Starbucks worker (young guy with long dark hair) made us another coffee free. These people were so kind and quick to help. And the coffee was great.
