Next day I went back for the same in a regular size. Some reviews mentioned it was not sweet. The açaí itself is not but the original has honey on top plus the sweetness of the fruit is enough. The fruit they use for toppings is fresh and the granola is crunchy and delicious. I also like that they don't nickel and dime you for adding toppings. They also give a generous portion of toppings. I generally have to pay for extra granola but that was not necessary. Service was friendly and patient. The first day it took a minute for me to decide. Second day I got there right when they were closing, well technically it was roped off already but it wasn't quite 5:50 so I was able to order. They are actually inside the mall.

My only complaint was I wanted a protein shake and they only had vanilla protein powder and weren't very helpful offering other suggestions.. the girl working the counter seemed to have zero Interest being there and was not the least bit friendly. I ordered the half size this time since I felt the large bowl was overpriced. I was happy with the $8 portion and it was good quality and flavor. The speed was better than last time too so I've added a star but they won't ever get a 5 star from me with their joyless vibes.

They just had meh teas and not the little teas with aloe that come with the shakes. If you take a pic on social media you get $1.00 off. Great place and family owned business.

It leans more to the glowing healthy aesthetic as opposed to the gym bro aesthetic (although it does have a bunch of protein/"muscle" smoothies). I got the Recovery Smoothie, which was a next-level strawberry banana smoothie. The price was $14, which was surprising (I am from NYC and that is what smoothies cost in midtown Manhattan). The smoothie was delicious and even had seeds and things which added a fun texture. It was very fun for vacation, if I lived here, it would be a very rare treat just because of the price point. The service was fine.

We ordered the summer breeze, banana berry, iced mocha, a Taylor ham sandwich and a sausage sandwich. Out of the three drinks, neither of us thought they were great but they got the job done. While the mocha wasn't great, I did like that it was served in a big cup that was only 6 dollars; I didn't have to specify a size, it's what was given to me. The sausage sandwich was heavy, which was great, and you could see the sausage patty from all sides of the croissant. The ham sandwich though, had a tiny piece of sausage and not ham. Cody, the only person working at the time, was great and got everything done as fast as he possibly could so kudos to him.

We had to wait about 10-15 mins for our bowls but they were well worth it. It gave a good impression considering they're newer and this busy! My husband got the 8 oz Carolina bowl (Ube sorbet with blueberries, banana, granola and honey on top) and I got the 16 oz Witches Rock (mango sorbet, granola, blueberries, pineapple, cocoa nibs, and honey) with matcha sorbet as well. For anyone who is hesitant to try new/different things, it is essentially a smoothie-granola bowl. The added toppings give the sorbet/smoothie extra texture, taste and nutrients. We were both pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our bowls! Aside from that they were not cheap, coming out to be about $10 each but everything was fresh and delicious so we will definitely be back again.

It wasn't until day 5 of our vacation that we were able to go & to our surprise - we'd driven by it every day going to Cherry Grove beach! It's truly a hidden gem! My husband and I are avid Açaí bowl fans & when I say this was the best we've ever had - I truly mean it! I would absolutely order their signature Shaka bowl again (and ask for extra PB & Nutella!). My advice is to get there RIGHT when they open! We did and we were so glad. The place really filled up! My only "con" is there's not any drinks - or much right nearby. So if you're a coffee person, bring your own! Do yourself a favor & check them out!
