I'm a student at this school and as an older student with much life experience I have to say this…read moreschool, its instructors and administration are all wonderful. I have studied at trade schools and colleges in BC and Alberta from the 1980s to the recent past. Machine operations and technical programs, art and design programs. I have never felt so welcome or so involved in the training. As an older person one could feel out if sorts with the younger students and staff. This is absolutely not the case at this school. All students are purposely involved in their own training at every level. The teachers work to assist you in your style of learning and help to adapt the lessons to your style and personality. I highly recommend this school. I researched many before I made my decision to take the Barber Training Coures at Ecole de Coiffure International and after being there for 50% of the course time I know I made the right choice. If a career in Barber or hairdressing interest you drop into the school and check it out. Accredited and professional training at its best. You won't be disappointed.

I'll start this review off by saying if I could give this rating a negative number I would…read more This is the worst schooling experience I've ever had. Money sucking vultures is the perfect way to describe how little the administration and owner care about their students education. One of many examples: they sold me right handed scissors - I'm left handed! Zero concern for their students! After completing my barber program I entered into the industry with close to no knowledge on proper barbering techniques, this includes no proper fading techniques, zero use of a straight razor, no blending techniques, barely any scissor over comb techniques and the list goes on. And after speaking with several people who completed the same course they actually had real barbers come in once a week to teach them proper techniques I was not offered this nor offered a discount because of this. The 1 or 2 classes we spent on how to fade really got me nowhere and I've been struggling ever since! When I reached out to the administration regarding these concerns after completing the program, I was approached with a negative attitude by the owner and saying I should be more appreciative because he offered me a 1 day visit at a barber shop that I never even received! Most of the 3 months were focused on scissor work which isn't a bad thing however when most of the industry focuses on fades and tapering I learned maybe 1 way to do a fade and that isn't even a technique that's being used on the job. So my question is why call the program a "Complete Barbering" course when 90% of the class wasn't even on proper barber techniques?! If I were you I would save your money and invest into learning from a barber who actually works in the industry.
