The staff worked with our family throughout my Dads residency and spent time helping us with difficult decisions on his care. Caring for these residents is a very difficult job but this team of experts are always professional, compassionate and helpful at all times. The home is very organized, clean and has a welcoming environment making everyone feel at home.The home is designed with a large great room, tv room and very nice kitchen. It is also located in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful front and backyard for the residents and family to sit outside. I would highly recommend Casas Adobes over any other homes in the area.

She has suffered a terrible fall that resulted in an internal carnial bleed. The TMC ER/ICU could not save her but the Peppi's House was able to provide her some comfort. They were respectful of her and us. The staff talked to her as they performed their caring tasks of comfort. We, her family, were also provide compassion and empathy for our pending loss of a such wonderful wife, parent and friend. The anguish of our moment was made more bearable by the great staff and chaplain pesent. The loss of my wife was terrible but the Peppi's House hospice provided needed comfort to all.

Their RN, Christy, did daily bandage changes on my back for over 2 months and then went to twice per week. We happened upon SDS when we needed to move my Mom to a 24 hour care Memory Unit, but needed an…read moreindependent unit for my Dad. A place that would allow them to be close and feel safe, supported. The property is lovely, and every single staff member I have come into contact with in the last two weeks is gracious, kind and friendly. It is not easy working in the senior retirement community business... I know as I worked in it for roughly 4 years as an ED. It is even more difficult working in a memory care unit, where aging loved ones are not the same selves they once were and need a lot of care. You have to give a level of trust, and rely on strangers to take care of your loved one the way you would. My Mom was here for roughly 2 weeks, with supplemental hospice care from the time she moved in, until the time she passed. The team in the memory care unit was always amazing to us, and my Mom. We were not there 24 hours mind you, but I observed the other residents being cared for and looked after by all the staff. My Mom was pretty much incapacitated and relied heavily on the kind and gentle care of the team here. Besides the Wellness Director Jackie, who was knowledgeable and kind, there is one lady in particular who was a standout to me. It was such a stressful time, I can't even for the life of me remember her name... but she had an eastern European accent. I felt as though she always took great care with my Mom, making sure she was comfortable and looked after... especially when we were not there.

Although she was declining, she had a lot of life in her left to enjoy until her body gave out. I placed her at Devon Gables with hopes of good care, and friendly staff. I can honestly say that they exceeded my expectations. Every time I visited someone was caring for her. They never just forgot about her. They got her up every day and interacted with her. She was truly happy. She was always clean and her room was clean and the staff all expressed how much they enjoyed getting to know her. About 20 years ago my husband's grandfather was also there. Things were good then, but even better now. Thank you to all the staff that cared for mom.
