In keeping with my sparse LI reviews, only written for truly excellent services, I'm posting one for Absolute Senior Solutions. They have been a life saver helping us navigate my parents' decline. Absolute was on a list of placement services given to us during my dad's stay at El Camino Hospital (ECH). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our ECH social worker circled Mike Sousou's name out of all the services on the list and said he's great to work with and clients love him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't even try other services, just went with it and have had a great experience Absolute does it all. They prepare and deliver an in home care plan if you're going that route. They'll help with placement into an appropriate assisted living facility if that is preferred / needed (they receive a commission from the facility in this case). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mike is professional and available and knows the entire system: the contacts, the challenges, and the emotions of the journey on all sides[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Absolute Senior Solutions has been caring for my mother 24/7 since July 2018. I have never considered another agency since their quality of services is top notch, and their prices are fairly competitive for the Bay Area. This 24/7 care is costly no matter how you rationalize it, but sometimes it is the right thing to do for "old mom", who has been a wonderful mother to me and my siblings. Our two caregivers, 5-day and 2-day, really care about my mom as a friend, and are considered an extension of our family. These people are really awesome. My driver, I believe his name is Mike, was unbelievably professional and kind. My appointment at Stanford ran exceptionally late, with a person at Stanford calling this company, expressing I would be ready soon (unbeknownst to me), but I had not seen the doctor yet. Despite all the hubbub, this company remained kind and professional and was quick in the response when I was finally able to actually be picked up and delivered back to the hospital I was at. I used absolute for my grandma asmahan and I'm still using them . Highly recommend them. My grandma had very hard time to have a good relationship with the previous transportation company employee but with absolute Andy builds very fast and good relationships with her and she loves them. Andrew and his crew are absolutely the best people to work with. I am trying to micro manage my brother who is in a skilled nursing facility in San Jose and I live outside of Sacramento. Andrew makes this process for me so easy and I can always count on him. In fact, the facility at 6:30pm, told my brother that they could not arrange transportation for him. Of course he waited till 7:30pm. to tell me and I called Andrew at 8:00pm. and his response was let me call you in the morning and I will see what I can do. Guess what a 8:15am, the next morning he called and asked me where he was going and at what time, and then said again, I will call you right back, "let me see what I can do". He did just that, and at 10:15, my brother was picked up for his very important Dr. appointment at 11:00. We needed transportation for a wheelchair bound quadriplegic family member on a ventilator. We were concerned about what we could do if he got delayed at doctor appointments. We also needed transportation on Christmas. We also wanted to have the caregiver AND a family member sometimes accompany him. This company could do everything we wanted at a very reasonable price! Our thanks to Andrew and the driver for putting up with the nursing home's lack of communication and/or miscommunication & for bringing my husband home safely. We used Absolute Transportation when my husband was released from a Santa Clara CA nursing home to our home. The staff that transported him were patient with him being that he was bedridden & needed a gurney.
