I understand claims may take a week or so to process but it took over 1 month to have claims submitted. All the while, I'm overcharged over $300 out of pocket. I've been calling for no less than 3 weeks for a solution. The billing lady called me last week and said I would have a refund, another week goes by, no money. Call, get voice mail. I would totally avoid this practice until they can get someone who takes their job seriously and doesn't hold your money when they shouldn't. First, despite my experience I spent $70 because I wanted the product, but not sure that I will return. When I entered the clerk was on the phone and continued on the phone while I shopped. When I was finished and standing at the counter ready to check out she remained on the phone. I found this to be totally disrespectful, so I said that I would return later. She then told the person on the phone that she had to go because she had a customer. She said that was the owner and it is hard to get in touch with her. I said that I am sure that the owner would not like you to miss a sale. As she was answering my questions a delivery person walked in and again she dismisses me to speak and hug the delivery man who was delivering honey. I felt totally dismissed and not valued. I end by saying that I am a 70 y/o, African American female. I did not look homeless or dirty. So, African Americans beware when shopping at the Edgewater location.

I had visited the store several times before and always felt comfortable. I had never encountered any issues with the employees or other customers until today. When I walked into the store, I saw three white people: the employee and two customers. The employee asked me, "What is it that you need? What can I get you"?, in such a nasty tone. I replied, "Please finish helping these people while I look around". The next thing I hear is: "I am going to call the police on you". I was shocked. Wait, what just happened? I am upset but calm. I will wait for them and I did. The next thing I hear is: "I am calling Cindy on you". I am confused and upset but calm. Who in the world is Cindy, lol... I turn around and she is trying to hand me the phone stating that Cindy wanted to speak with me. I am going to upload the video if the sites allow me to. I do not take the call. I am not running; I am still waiting for the police. I look up and there is the couple and they have me surrounded. The woman tells me to leave the store because Black people are usually the problem. I am calm, but I inform her to walk away from me or we are going to have a problem, she did but, not without making a racist statement as she was walking away - these niggers..... Black people will ask, why didn't you just leave, NO? Instead, I calmed the situation made my purchase, and then left. I sat outside for about 20 minutes waiting for the police, but they never showed. The employee has an issue with Black people and should not be working in a customer service role because she is a racist who is afraid of ALL Black people. I could have been murdered. During my drive, I decided to speak with Cindy about the situation. However, she dismissed my concerns, laughed it off, and made excuses for the employee's behavior. I hung up feeling that I could have been murdered--not because I was causing a scene or acting irrationally, but because the employee is uncomfortable serving Black customers. Is this still happening in 2024? This is not a safe place to shop for Black and Brown women.

They have been wrong on more than one occasion, which at one point almost caused my child's infection to become meningitis. They love to say everything is a virus! All the providers here are terrible, we have tried all of them, one worse than the next. I once was asked why I was checking my child's temperature when they were sleeping as if it was the provider's choice. Obviously it was because their temperature seemed very high and thank goodness, because I rushed to the hospital and the bacterial infection that they called a virus was almost deadly. Very inexperienced practitioners. Oh and god forbid your child is sick and nervous about being at the dr in general because they will go ahead, look you in the eye and tell you they have autism after seeing them for 5 minutes. Nope, it's not possible my child is deathly ill and nervous and is not acting like themselves. God forbid you question their expertise, they will retaliate and go as far as typing up a 2 page briefing of a visit that is completely in their favor, full of lies and things that were never said to protect themselves, the office, their creditability and their career without any awareness that they are committing a crime and exhibiting unprofessional conduct! And of course all the providers including Melissa Dean, will back each other up, even though it will be clear that one made a mistake. Their newest provider (Stacion Gibbs) used to work at a nursing home and wants to wave her power wand because that's what she's used to with the elderly. Stay away from these incompetent shoemakers. It is absolutely atrocious and horrendous that these people are allowed to treat children. Proceed with caution. A much-needed complaint to the medical board is in order.
