The reception area is clean, minimalist and reminiscent of a health spa, which is the idea, obviously. When I first moved to Brighton, I was recommended the place so I thought I'd give it a go... Yes, the place smells good and yes, they sell lots of posh lotions and potions, but I have not experienced anything resembling luxury during my visits here. Ok, so admittedly hair removal isn't posh, but their hair removal prices are, so I expected a little more than waiting 20 minutes before being gruffly shuffled into a tiny room. People get tired and stressed, I know that, but I like a healthy dollop of friendliness to ease me through the grim experience of being waxed! I found my beauty therapist to be quite aggressive- she didn't test the temperature of the wax and didn't really ask what I wanted. The Treatment Rooms offer many treatments, which sound lovely, and despite my waxing experience, I would go back to try them, as I imagine this is where they excel. I'm also fairly certain their staff can't all be quite so brusk- the receptionists have always been pleasant.

Like Louise E, I too was treated to a birthday treat by my mother at The Treatment Rooms, and it…read morewas absolutely luxurious. They give you a towel and slippers (yes, slippers! Must be a real spa) and pop you in your room which is to be a personal Heaven on Earth for the next hour or so, depending how much indulgence you deserve. I had a facial, hot stone massage, pedicure and manicure (OK, so I was there for a little more than an hour!), each of which was carried out by the attentive and un-intrusive therapist. They leave you lying there after your treatment to 'relax' - just in case you haven't already - and the whole experience is very soothing. I agree with the others, it is very expensive, and although I have been back for various treatments, I have found other salons in Brighton which are equally as good and don't break the bank. But if it's your birthday maybe request a gift card.

AVOID This Irresponsible Facial Therapist!…read more I have had a balancing facial treatment at Chutima at the start of September. After I finished the treatment, I got allergy issues on my face, the skin around my eyes got red, inflamed and swollen. (shown as photos) This is terrible, I can't even open my eyes! Also, I can't work because of the allergy issues on my face. Then I sent a serval of emails and just ask for a response or a reason, but they just ignore me and give no response till now! Please avoid this non-irresponsible facial and massage therapist! photo link: https://imgur.com/a/veb6oTm

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, with just the right level of chat. I chose my colour from the selection of Opi polishes and the lady set to work on my hands first. I was pleased with the shape and the painting of my nails, something that can sometimes be a little hit and miss. For the pedicure I was placed in the most amazing massage chair. Not the type I have experienced before that just gently vibrates. This was was like receiving a proper massage, I almost fell asleep! Again, the pedicure was great, the dry skin scraped away from my feet by a cheese grater-like instrument! My only complaint would be that the cuticle removal was quite painful on both my fingers and toes. I was offered drinks while I waited and there were plenty of magazines to peruse. I would definitely consider coming back here in the future, with or without a voucher. Other treatments on offer include facials, waxing, massage and reflexology.

I called ahead to see if I could also get something done but it was a very busy morning and all appointments were full. I went with the girls anyway that morning and when I arrived I was very pleasantly surprised to see that they could squeeze me in and was able to get a treatment. Upon arrival they take you upstairs to the relaxation room. A dimly lit room with a fire, comfy chairs, magazines, and calming music. This was HEAVEN. They asked what we would like to drink and brought us really nice coffees and biscuits. I could have easily moved in there. After a while someone came up and brought me down for my pedicure. The treatment room was very clean and bright and the selection of nail polishes was huge! All OPI as well so I know its quality polish and wont chip right away. They shaped, filed and painted my toes and did a very thorough job, I was very pleased. My friend was also getting a pedi and promptly smudged it when putting on her shoe, the owner was so lovely and immediately sat down to fix her toe. Having done it many times myself, nail technicians are not always very friendly about fixing it but she was so so lovely and nice. Our other friend had her eyelashes tinted and they turned out beautifully. I was so pleased with my experience at Jasmine and will make it a routine to go back when in Eastbourne. Excited that its sandal weather to show off my toes!
