We set out with a good idea of what we wanted, but having listened to our intent Studio Werc came up with ideas and designs which we would never have thought of ourselves. Ed worked through the designs in great detail, consulting with us along the way, and then fully handled the process of planning applications and putting the project out for tender. Once we'd received multiple quotes, Ed was able to thoroughly dissect the quotes to make sure we were getting the best deal possible from our builders. He then proven to be an invaluable resource throughout the project, overseeing the build at various stages to ensure everything was going to plan, and making fine adjustments where necessary. Having a good architect on board turned out to be far more important than we ever expected. Even the builders praised the quality of his designs and drawings and how easy he was to work with through the project. All in all, an excellent outcome.

We had previously worked with another architect who we fell out with over design issues. Our architect from Urbane Design really understood our brief and requirements. They were very hands on during the construction period making the project run very smoothly with our builder. The end result was a very modern but sensitive design. They kept the original features that had character on our georgian house and blended them with interesting glass light wells that now flood the house with beautiful natural light. We particularly loved the design for the doors. They are full height and frameless. This really adds a wow factor as some of the rooms are 4meters in height!

They were recommended to us by a friend who lives on the street who had worked with them on her house. We used them to obtain listed building consent, planning permission, to produce the very detailed construction drawings and to manage the project on site. We used a builder they recommended and found this working relation very successfully. The architect explained clearly what was required at each stage of the project which was very usefull. He described it as adding layers of information as the project developed. This became clearer as the project developed. We are very happy with our new home and highly recommend them. They communicate well which I have learnt is the key to a successfully delivered project.

would not recommend. the design was good, the communication was decent; however the builder they…read moreuse often was a complete cowboy. started January with a June 5 finish date stated, finished on November 11th according to them, only because i had to keep emailing to get them to finish as he was busy with bigger projects. one person working on the project at a time. one month no one turned up for three weeks. A tutton was the builder (Alan tutton kent area i believe). im still being emailed because they haven't actually finished sealing the steel works on bean outside so wilkinson construction consultants are on my case telling me it needs to be resolved with a time limit, which i have no idea how to resolve. laminate floor sinking in even though i was promised it wouldn't get worse than it already is, will have to pay for someone to come and redo half of it as the floorboards are now on different levels. dimmer switches dont dim properly and change brightness by themselves. switches get hot and have to pay electrician to fix it. rendering not finished, builder took scaffold away after i said he was taking ages for a small project, had to pay £900 for more scaffold to fix contracted rendering to the new part of the house. bluelime was decent at first but sided much with their preferred builder. project was delayed from month 2 however the builder said it wasn't so project manager zohaib just agreed even though you can clearly see its behind. holes in light switches not even filled in so i have holes all around the house. getting minor shocks from them as well which I'm sure is not safe. plumbing running through bedroom with no filling inside to stop any noise so any flush wakes up person sleeping in that room. uneven flooring in new build. first excuse when mentioned was its never going to be perfect because its on old flooring, but when i mention the new build new flooring is uneven there is no response. very unprofessional in the end which is sad because the start of things seemed very promising. the architect done a good job with the design, if you use these refuse Alan tutton as your builders or be prepared for a cowboy to show up with a smile on his face pretending he's amazing when he does bother to show up. also be prepare for blue lime to side generally with the builder. if you use this company get the design and planning permission from them only do not waste your money on anything else with them just go elsewhere do your own research for a builder and team don't make my mistake

I needed an investment…read moreproperty completed refurbished - new windows, new bathroom, new kitchen, new flooring and painted throughout. Brian listened to what I wanted and what my budget was. He asked questions where there was ambiguity and then ran with the whole project. I simply handed over the keys and received them back when the job was completed. The apartment was left spotless - I was able to get photographs taken to advertise the property the same day! It was a super service - on time, to budget and with a high quality finish. The apartment was let within days.
