Enter Dr. Stambouleigh. From the first consultation through surgery and follow-up, he and his team were calm, professional, and genuinely caring. When I told him I have been contemplating having 5 back teeth implanted for years now and have just been too scared to pull the trigger on it, he explained everything clearly and made me feel completely safe, which is saying a lot for someone who dreads dental chairs. The procedure involved removing the root of the damaged tooth and placing an implant immediately after, removing a back tooth that needed treatment and implant, and placing implants in back spaces where I previously had teeth extracted because the thought of root canals had just terrified me. All in all he fixed 6 teeth that day, and I felt no pain during surgery, have very minor swelling around the implant areas only, and absolutely no bruising whatsoever. I only needed one Motrin and an extra strength Tylenol that evening. Everything was so smooth from start to finish and I can't thank Dr. Stambouleigh and his staff enough for their kindness and skill--they truly turned a nightmare situation into a relief. *Funny thing...as I was editing this review, he literally called to check on me. Amazing!

1 Star (Would give -5 if possible)…read more I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life at Little Elm Dentistry. About a year ago, they told me I had "severe gum disease" and refused to do the basic cleaning covered by my insurance. I didn't know any better at the time and trusted them, so I paid $600 out of pocket for their so-called "special cleaning." Now, looking back, I realize they took advantage of me and stole $600 for something I didn't need. A few months later, they tried to charge me another $600 for more of the same. Instead, I went to a dental school, where I had nine hours of detailed professional cleaning done over three appointments. My teeth were spotless. Less than a week later, I went back to Little Elm Dentistry hoping to use my insurance for a basic cleaning and establish care with a regular dentist. To my shock, they told me I needed another "special cleaning" costing over $2,000, even though my teeth had been cleaned just days earlier. I asked the hygienist if they could simply do the basic cleaning covered by my insurance, and they refused. I asked to speak with the manager, and they refused to let me speak with her as well. When I asked to speak with Dr. Yates, they also refused until I said I would file a complaint with the dental board. Only then did he agree to talk. When I finally spoke with Dr. Yates, he claimed doing a regular cleaning would be "under-treating" me, even though I had no plaque or calculus because I had just completed nine hours of professional cleaning. He said it was "about bacteria," not plaque or calculus, which made absolutely no sense. After reading other reviews online, I discovered many patients have had the same experience -- being denied insurance-covered cleanings, pressured into unnecessary procedures, and blocked from speaking with the manager or dentist. It is clear this office is charging people for cleanings they do not need. Little Elm Dentistry is not about patient care; it is about money and manipulation. What they are doing is unethical and should be investigated. Avoid this place at all costs. They are a scam operation.
