Vargas are one of the main/biggest taxi companies based in Abingdon. They always answer the phone promptly, and are friendly, helpful and polite. They are more than happy to give you an estimate for how much a journey will cost. Because they are so big it is usually possible to book a taxi, even at quite short notice. I'd recommend against using this company. We ordered a cab that never showed up. They told us the car would arrive within 20 minutes. When we phoned to enquire about the delay, the handler told us the car arrived, that we weren't there, and then hung up. Utter nonsense - not even the good grace to provide a believable excuse. Defining themselves as a taxi rank seems to be at odds with the trades description act. We used 001 cars, Abingdon as a back up. Exemplary service. If you need to get from A to B I'd recommend against using Vargus cars. They have one star because they have to be awarded at least one on this site. read more
