This is the second time that I have come to Abigail's Flowers and it will be my last. Each time I have arrived to purchase a bouquet I am the only customer there yet I feel extremely rushed. The owner was helping me select an arrangement then after 2-3 min she dropped the arrangement on her desk and told her associate to take it from here as I was taking to long. The owner was rushing me and it truly seemed that this whole process was extremely transactional. Not to mention the huge margins she was taking with an almost 45 dollar cost of 2 hydrangeas, 2 roses and another that I forget the name. If you are looking for a great flower shop with wonderful customer experience and reasonable prices I would go to Utsuwa Floral Design. I wasn't able to make it their today as they were closed and I needed the flowers right away. During the pandemic I've been trying to support local businesses and being understanding when things aren't the best they can be but this was one of the worst florist experiences I've ever had. My husband pre-ordered a $75 arrangement for my birthday. At 7pm, it still hadn't arrived, so he decided to give them a call. The lady on the phone said she had misplaced the order, but would drop off a bouquet "soon." My husband said it would be fine if she just delivered the day after since it was already so late, but she insisted. About an hour later, the flowers arrive at the door and they were honestly worse than Safeway flowers. They were mostly mums that were starting to wilt, one protea, two stems of snapdragons (with blossoms shriveled on the bottom), some greenery, and some daisies that were missing half the petals. The remaining daisy petals were wrinkled and brown. I should have taken a photo to share but I was so sad and disgusted that these were my birthday flowers that I tossed the daisies in the garbage. The rest of the flowers barely lasted a few more days before they all died. What was still alive was the protea and some pine branches. Good customer service isn't delivering a poor product over no product. If all you had available were these flowers, then offer a refund and an apology (and maybe comp these flowers). Seeing that others have had similar bad experiences even pre-COVID, I am surprised this place is still in business. Maybe they're ok if you're walking by the store and can look at the flowers yourself, but avoid ordering in advance. read more

Abigail's Flowers (1st floor of the Galleria) has an adorable assortment of succulents & flowers! I swung by to get a last minute white elephant gift exchange I had later on that day with the coworkers. I picked out the prettiest potted succulent and asked the lady if she had something to wrap it with since it was a gift exchange. The younger lady helping me was really nice and helpful. She found a small box that was the perfect size and tied it with a red bow. It was very well disguised as no one would venture to guess there's a succulent hiding in a white cardboard box! :) I thought it was a pretty clever idea and would've loved to have picked out a succulent at a white elephant gift exchange as it would brighten up my workspace. However the lady who picked out my gift wasn't too thrilled. She shook the box first and I almost had to break the rules & admit it was my gift because I wanted to tell her, "Please don't shake the pretty succulent I spent so long picking out!" She opened it & said unenthused, "Oh, it's a cactus." Grr.. I think I might just exchange the Starbucks gift card I got with the pretty succulent. read more

I walked out of work late on a Friday evening and I saw Abigail's still open for business. I figured I was going to see a special someone and get "just because" flowers. I popped by and I let Abigail's do all the work. I told the nice lady there general things that I wanted and she did all the rest. Like most places, you give a price point and they can arrange a bouquet if you do not have the eye for it. The bouquet was small in comparison to other places I have been to, but it wasn't lacking. The main attraction were the tulips and roses with other accompaniment flowers in between. It was a little more than what I'd usually spend on a bouquet, but there were a lot of roses. The lady was satisfied and said it was her favorite bouquet so far, so I can't argue with that. read more

I've passed by this little shop plenty of times, as I have started working nearby. They have the most adorable succulents and mosses but I already have my fair share of foliage at home. I didn't get anyone's name but she seemed to pick up on how frazzled I was so she showed me a pre-made bouquet. It was already nice but I wanted the emphasis to be lilies and not roses. They said it wasn't a problem and just took the bouquet inside their little area, along with some lilies. A few minutes later, they present me with a fabulous bouquet. I really enjoy buying flowers for my friends. And there have been so many times where I've been just satisfied with the presentation and arrangement. Today was different- I was very happy! Lately, I feel like nothing has really been impressing me. I was impressed this afternoon, so I think that says something. With all of that praise, I will obviously be back. I sent them an email about my experience and still have not recieved a reply back, so I will leave a review here. I am not at all satisfied with the level of service Abigail's Flowers gave. First of all I had to email them the morning that the card message they typed up on Invoice was not the same as what I wrote when I was ordering the flowers online. The card message they typed had multiple spelling errors and multiple grammatical errors. They said that they would fix it the morning of. Why do they retype the message themselves on the system rather than just copy/paste from what I wrote in the order? Next, the flowers did not arrive until 3:30pm, even though the destination was less than a half mile away from their flower shop. Isn't it pretty standard that flowers be delivered before lunch or during lunch? Next, on the order form under Delivery Instructions, I clearly wrote to have the delivery driver physically tell the receptionist to have these delivered to my Fiancee's desk, I called my fiance toward the end of the day asking her if she ever got the flowers and she said had not. I called the receptionist at her office and they were just sitting at the front desk, why should the receptionist assume that my fiancee should know to come down and get it or not? It doesn't say anywhere legible where these flowers are going. The problem is I had to call her myself, instead of this being a surprise. Why have delivery instructions if the delivery driver does not read them? Finally, the Card Message was poorly handwritten and still had spelling and grammatical errors on it. A typed message on a sheet of paper that was auto printed from what I had wrote would have been better than this. Why did I have to bother reaching out this morning to have this mistake you made fixed if it was still going to happen anyways? read more

We were trying to find a florist that wouldn't expect us to pay an arm and a leg for wedding flowers. I stumbled upon Anne's shop when visiting a farmer's market in the Financial district. I walked by and saw lots of rustic elements, and had a feeling this might be a place to inquire about wedding flowers. After a few conversations, we decided to book Anne. She was so generous to do our wedding because it took place in August--usually her vacation month. We met with Anne a few times to share our vision and see mach up arrangements. Anne has an eye for making flowers look beautiful on a budget. Each time we shared what we wanted, she would bring up the low-cost version that would still look elegant. I really appreciated this! On the day of the wedding, our flowers looked beautiful! Unfortunately, the heat (we were in Oakley) caused some pieces from my bouquet to fall out but overall, they stayed intact and were awe-inspiring. The centerpieces were also a conversation starter during dinner. Everyone loved the gnarled wood branches and mason jar flower arrangements. She also worked with my wedding coordinator to add succulents to the tables. Leading up to the wedding, Anne was professional, easy-going, and communicative.
