It's a fully stocked store with an array of items from chips, candy, and cookies to an assortment of grab&go sandwiches and instant ramen. This location is nestled on the corner of a busy, crowded street. No self-checkout. You have to pay at the register. The customer service was a bit lackluster.

Superquinn sausages are not the same since the take over. I don't care what anyone says. They ARE NOT THE SAME. So sausages aside I used to love the bread from here. That again is something that is totally different. The coleslaw is not as nice anymore too. As small supermarkets go this place is grand. They have pretty good offers on veg and fruit most of the time and the quality is pretty good for the price you pay. Fresh meat and fish counter is pretty good for the size of the place and the off license has a fairly substantial selection of craft beers and wines so all in all it is better than average. They are nasty and disgusting, but that is a matter of opinion. There are an abundance of drinks. There are toilets but they are either disgusting, closed, or out of use. There are excellent deals that you can access with a Club Card. For example, you can get 2 for 1 on bread. Overall, this is a very good Tesco, but there is room for improvement. I would recommend this Tesco to my Grandad, Zach's dog, and the school principal. Very good. 10/10.

It is kind of hard to find somebody to ask for help, but I discovered that if you Q up in the customer service desk they'll be able to tell you when a certain item will be restocked. I also really like their 'reduced to clear' section, I found some great bargains and that is another advantage this grocery has over the other local ones. This late, many of the staffed areas and the fresh foods were a little picked over but I was able to find something takeaway for tonight's dinner, a big bottle of sparkling water, some biscuits ("cookies" in American) both for tonight and for the suitcase and some very inexpensive Cadbury's chocolate bars that might actually make it home as a gift. Checkout was easy and since I had planned ahead with my backpack, I did not need to purchase a shopping bag today. Was it a "super value"? Yes, I would say the pricing is good. I'd say they have a pretty good selection of most things but I'd agree with one earlier review that I read which stated they don't always have everything. For instance they do not have oven mits, which is fair enough. Surprisingly though they did not have any soup stock available which was called for in my recipe. If you are crafty though you can find substitutions well enough if there is something available such as a simple soup mix. The prices were pretty fair in my opinion and I was truly impressed with their wine selection which was disproportionately robust for the size of the store. When I was there, there were a few tils not working and I'd say that if this occurred on a regular basis then perhaps this grocery would need to be bumped down to a three star rating. But assuming the best, this was a pretty good spot to get my supplies prior to quarantining and it also gets good marks for having a convenient location right next to Heuston station here in auld Kilmainham town. Social distancing protocols were also well in effect. I will definitely return when the need arises!

Lots of single / sans-childer people with a bit of disposable income who don't want to do big shops, but still want healthy-ish food in a convenient way. Convenience is the name of the game here - they have everything arranged for you 'just so'. There is a carvery area, a ready-meals-made-fresh area, a sambo area, a salad area, fruit & veg laid out in the manner that shows you're clearly never gonna buy more than three of each. It's all very easy, very visual, and perfect for what you need if you're on your way home from work and can't be arsed to think. Now for the other side of the sword. They ain't being all convenient out of the goodness of their hearts. They want that moneycashdolla. It's not cheap. Not cheap at all. But hey, what do you expect? If you want cheap, go to Lidl. If you want convenience, go here.
