First, it's expensive...over $1000 just to get tested. Mind you, the results are several pages long and include pictures and graphs and are given in person and explained to you. The cost of the actual therapy is over $1000 per month if you are having weekly sessions.
In my case, once they had my testing money, they offered to finance with some 'foundation' paying half of the cost for my treatment.
I wish I could say anything about the efficacy of said treatment, but when I arrived for my last session I was told the 'foundation' had deemed me not committed enough and withdrawn their support. This was because I was unable to come in each and every week....because I take my girlfriend to chemotherapy on the other weeks. I was told that the doctor had, in fact, plead my case and told them that this was the reason. Apparently, it wasn't a good enough reason to draw out the treatment.
I was unable to continue treatment, since I do not have a spare $1000 per month to spend on it. I do wish the 'foundation' had ruled on my commitment to the process BEFORE I spent all that money, and I also wonder if this doesn't happen pretty often--that the instant they sense they won't be getting (enough) more cash out of you the 'foundation' will suddenly be there to cut you off.
Either way, even if I did have the extra money to spare each month now, I'd hesitate to spend it here. read more
