    My dog was in dire straits. I was actually advised by a Floridian vet that the kindest action would…read morebe to have him put to sleep. Several of our vets in Toronto and Collingwood accurately described his condition but were unable to stabilize him with their course of various medications and advice. One vet positively aggravated his condition. Dr. Ardiel's diagnosis was in line with all the other clinicians' but took a totally different course of action. My once 'in extremis' dog is now positively thriving and loves going to see her both in Collingwood and Meaford. She is thorough , professional and kind, and has the knowledge and experience of how to handle a very sick dog. It is my belief that your dog couldn't be in better hands!

    We had the need of an emergency visit in Collingwood - but our vet is in the Beaches where we…read moreusually are. I called around and no one had an opening for us that day or the next. It was so frustrating, because my 12 year old Standard Poodle had a large cut on the inside of a toe with what seemed to be bulging skin. I know how easily toe injuries can get infected and how hard to stitch. They let us come for a consult within a couple of hours and were very welcoming. When my boy came out, he was very bouncy and happy and showed no sign or distress. They didn't have to sedate him, as many of the vets had suggested - at 12 years I know that this can be more stressful on the system and anticipated that he would cooperate. I will definitely be back for his regular Vet needs and hope that we don't need another emergency visit!
