They make one beer that was on tap (EL Pedal) which was a very good American pale ale. The other 5 beers on tap were a nice assortment (weiss to stout). Very good. Plus, they have 80+ different bottle choices. The place was tiny inside and had about 5 tables outside but they were full and the inside empty, but I think it was because it was rather warm inside with no a/c but fans. We toughed it out and sat at the bar and when the ex-pat Oklahomian bartender heard our English he took pity on us and guided us through all of our beer and tapas choices. The cheese selection plate was very good, the view to the outside watching Madrid walk by was great and of course the beer was the highlight of our visit. If you're anywhere near El Pedal, I tell you to stop in and look for the tall ex-pat AMerican who speaks excellent Spanish (and english), he'll fix you up!!!

We got to sit at a table that was in the window frame, so that was pleasant - to be outside but not at the same time. Anyway, we both got crepes...and unfortunately, they were a disappointment though the plating was nice. The crepes were very thin and crispy (not my preference). The spinach inside was not wilted, so it made it messy to eat. The flavors were alright, but compared to ones I've had in France or even the US..it just fell flat. Also, the minimum is 10€ to use your card.

The drinks are affordable, and the terraza is quite large, stretching past the good part of the sidewalk. Bathrooms are hit and miss for cleanliness, but that's to be expected, I'd say. Just be careful not to get too much sand in your shoes when you're inside! It's a nice way to do a "staycation" in Madrid and still get some sand on your toes.
