I was in Alamogordo leaving work when she called, I was able to pull over under some shade and confirmed that Batteries+ was still in town, called Urenas, and was able to get her and the car taken over and the battery replaced. While she was waiting, I directed my wife to Texas Roadhouse so she could get some tea and wait in an air-conditioned environment away from the sun. The truck was very fast getting to her, even though it was 4:30 on a week day. Excellent service, and I will recommend them highly and definitely use them again if needed. Elapsed time from my wife's initial call to me and Batteries+ testing the old battery: less than 90 minutes. And yes, Batteries+ did a great job testing the old battery and confirming it had reached the end of its days before installing a new Duracell Gold Star battery. I greatly appreciate them and this is the second time I've used the services of Battery+ for a car battery.

Stole a transmission from me. Brought my truck here for a simple transmission swap (I supplied the…read morenew transmission) & lo and behold they "lost" my original transmission. My first mistake was when I came to pickup the truck he waited until I already paid to tell me I would have to come back the next day for the transmission since he was still "draining the fluid". I gave him the benefit of the doubt but the next day he then claimed he didn't know where it was at that moment and asked if I could come back the next day. After that day he quit returning any of my calls. The company that sold me the new transmission required me to send in my old one (for a core charge, a common practice) and since I couldn't they charged me an additional $300 and voided the 30k warranty I purchased. They didn't adjust the shift cable properly on install and it ended up breaking the plastic assembly on my shift cable a week later while I was at work. These guys got lucky I was in the middle of moving out of state when this happened or I would have had the time to stand outside their shop making sure every customer saw the absolute headache they were causing me. If you are the owner of this shop and want me to remove this then "find" my phone number and see if you happen to stumble upon my transmission for me to pick up.

I had just had received my 70 Oldsmobile 442 back from the engine manufacturer (Mondello Performance) for over heating issues. I took the car out for any easy drive from WSMR to LC. 2miles onto 70 the car vapor locked and died. I had the car towed to Baird's Automotive because they were the closest shop. It was a great find for me. The shop fixed the vapor lock issue. When I drove it home I found I was still having overheating issues. Called the shop and came back in. Total repair took about 2 weeks. The issues turned out to be a ballooned radiator and insufficient air movement. Which lead to overheating and a header gasket leak. Baird's worked with Mondello the entire time to ensure warranties on the engine were not violated and engine specs were maintained. Much of the delay time was parts shipping from Mondello to Baird's. Baird's called and informed me when they agreed and disagreed with Mondello, but maintained a professional environment regardless of agreeances. Thanks To the service, leadership, and mechanics at Baird's Automotive, the "Blue Beast" is running great again.
