Nothing was broken, no walls were scratch, they dissembled the furniture and put it back together without damaging it, but above and beyond the material things was the respect, kindness, well behaved, helpful, punctual and care shown by the four movers that were involved: Abhishek, Amrit, Pardeep, and Vishal. They have a great system for outlining how much gas you'll need to put back in the truck, depending on how much you've used, and I found this very helpful as I was only renting the truck for a few hours to do an in-town move. (It's annoying to go to a gas station for 8L of fuel, but c'est la vie). When you return the truck, checking it back in is as smooth as the pick up process, and I was back to the bus stop within 10 minutes of arriving at UHaul to return the truck. All in all, a great way to move things around town for an affordable price. The folks at the Kingston location are very helpful and played a big role in serving me so efficiently.

I had a broken ankle, unable to drive, and an hour away. What I was told was not the case. My friends were sent away being told it was taken care of. It wasn't, of course. So, I got a call from the manager demanding payment or the box would simply sit there! I explained my predicament and what I was told and had arranged. Not acceptable to him. No credit card to offer him. I use a VISA debit. Didn't get anywhere with him. When I complained to the USA customer service, I was told the same. Sent my pregnant, non-driving daughter to pay and she was told it was paid already. Checked my bank account-taken off my VISA debit card-without my knowing! No consent given. Nothing but a headache. I assume payment was dealt with stateside as they take my type of card all the time there. Not to mention being on the phone to 4 different people to get a receipt for this today! Will avoid UHaul if at all possible. Moving is stressful. Don't need the added grief.

Then a few days later my mom called me asking about a cheque that went through her account for the movers when it had been paid with a credit card. Long story short one of the movers went through my mom's things found her cheque book and cashed two cheques in amount of $2000.00. This is how bright he was he signed his own name to the cheque. We called the police and crimal charges were laid. The saddest part is , is when I called Frank the movers they were not at all surprised, it was as if the staff stealing was an everyday thing.

Next, they dent the wall on the way into my new place, albeit not as bad as my initial place because that wall was beyond belief (i'm talking multiple, massive holes). Then, they lose my $1000+ bike (i.e. it was stolen). When I asked them about it, they said they left it outside (on a busy street sidewalk), "upon my request". Why would I request they leave a bike unlocked, I presume leaning against the side of a building on a busy street?? In other words, it was a flat-out lie. I spoke to them about all of this, and they suggested that I file claims through my insurance... is an integral part of a moving business not that they have insurance to cover damages they cause?? If I go through my insurance, there is a deductible and my insurance would subsequently go up... They have been dodging my calls, not returning my calls, and very useless. Most recently they suggested I file a police report for the stolen bike from 3 weeks ago --- completely useless. They are useless, and they are scumbags. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
