We found local company, VistaCraft Landscaping and Design, for our project. They are highly skilled, trustworthy and reasonable. The designer had great ideas, was able to re-use boulders and sheet rock that we already had, maximize supplies, work around our trees, and ultimately created something completely new, low maintenance, clean looking, and beautiful! (And this new turf is nothing like it was in the past! This stuff looks and feels so real! Little dog approved!) The team was professional, dependable, timely, neat, conscientious, and very easy to work with. All really nice people! We highly recommend Accent Landscapes with Roger Haywood, Michael Becker's design, and Mike's team…read more They did an amazing job on our yard. We have a new house with a lot that has great views and we needed a design that would make the most of it. The backyard was very sloped so they brought in 660 tons of fill so that we can walkout of our house without steps. They created a large patio with a large stone firepit, a dining area, raised planters, lots of garden areas, native grass with wildflowers, and a trail down the hill. We are now the neighborhood party house. They did all of this in Oct-Dec so don't be afraid to plant in the winter. A big thank you to Mike's team who worked very hard to make Michael's design come alive.

They're very knowledgeable about which plants are drought resistant and good for our altitude in Gleneagle. They know what is resistant to being eaten by the deer. They have a designer on staff that is beyond amazing at yard layout. The designer was able to incorporate some concrete design into our house build so that our builder was able to pour the concrete to blend with the designer's vision for the front steps and sidewalk that swings around to the backyard. The work crew was so friendly and talented, hard working. It really is an outstanding company. A couple of plants didn't make it through the first winter, and they came out and replaced them without us even asking. They check up on the yard every once in a while just to make sure everything is taking root and growing. They also did all of the up-lighting on trees and lighting on the sidewalk. Also lighting around the gorgeous fire pit they built for us. Oh, did I mention our water feature?!!! And they did a rock river on our side yard where we had drainage issues dealing with runoff during rain storms. Works great! We have some Kentucky blue grass up around the house, but not much. We stuck to a lot of natural grasses and wildflowers which are more drought resistant. We had them put a beautiful waterfall under our bedroom window and listen to it in the summer when we go to sleep.

Eventually it turned into a weed infested, ankle breaking mess. We hired Joaquin and Hines Landscaping to install artificial turf, a concrete patio and pad for a shed, a wood retaining wall, and angular edging rock. What they did was amazing. It turned out so well that I still stop and admire the work. Our backyard is exceptionally functional now, our dog loves the turf, and the neighbors have provided many compliments. Joaquin was great to work with and the whole Hines crew did a fantastic job, including leaving the front yard in better condition than it was before they left, since it had to get disturbed to get people and equipment into the backyard. And, finally, the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend Hines Landscaping and we will certainly be using them again if the need arises.

After asking around for personal landscaper recommendations, I chose Sunflower. To say I was…read moreimpressed and still love the result is an understatement. Early in the process, I worked closely with one of their talented designers, Sam. She listened to my goals for a xeriscaped and native vegetation yard and made suggestions regarding rock type and color, as well as the most appropriate plants. Her design was beautiful and worked with the landscape and grading (which spoke to her knowledge of plants after working in a nursery as well as her impeccable design aesthetic). When it came time for planting and rock delivery, I worked with Michael, who I nicknamed the "landscape and grade whisperer." He ensured the team laid the drip irrigation and weed paper where it needed to go, artfully placed the river rock and gravel, and planted the trees, shrubs, and flowers in appropriate spots depending on the grading. Even when Michael wasn't on-site, the crew did such an amazing job of carefully placing rock and plants in the most appropriate locations. Nine months later (and after some serious rainstorms, snow, and temperatures anywhere between the high 90s and negative 10s), and still no rock cave-ins, gravel spillage, or vegetation issues. The Sunflower team brought up topics and questions that didn't even occur to me -- things like "I see that the original dry riverbed was to be placed here but, looking at the post-construction grading and location of your drain pipes, I recommend we move it here; is that ok?" And "Seeing where the sun will shine in winter versus summer, I suggest we swap these plants; is that alright with you?" Yes, please! We also used Sunflower when it came time for winterization. They truly do it all and I am so pleased with their work. Highly recommend!

Never used the company for their services and now, I never will. One of their drivers is a horrible…read moreand quite disrespectful human being. Driving home today from work, I was at the intersection of Nevada and Fillmore that was under construction. The road went from a 2 lane to a 1 lane, so after merging, I did my best to make room for anyone trying to make a turn without interfering with oncoming traffic; might I add there was not much time to merge, but that's beside the point. A red work truck with a trailer with the name "Colorado Stoneworks Landscaping" on the side drove by me and flipped me off. Now for what, honestly have no idea. After continuing down this single lane road, it turned into a 2 lane road so I moved over to proceed past him with every intention of moving on, but nope, he decided to swerve back and forth with a swaying trailer between lanes to prevent me from passing him. A dangerous move in a company vehicle. The biggest disturbance to me was when he took the time to slow down, causing traffic behind him now, and started making sexual faces towards me once he realized a woman was driving. I warned him to stop otherwise I will contact his boss, which I gladly will tomorrow when they open. He gave me a "" and proceeded to continue with sexual faces and to flip me off, while driving and looking directly at me. He then pulled into a Maverick shortly after. So this review is just to notify other customers of Colorado Stoneworks Landscaping, that if you see a red work truck with a driver, whom I assume is the foreman, with longish brown hair (I know, a dull description) just know his scrotum is tucked real far up his own a$$ to disrespect what could have been a customer, let alone a women. If that were one of my employees in my company truck going that far as to swerve with my property, just to be an a$$hole to a women who is just trying to get home with no problems, let's just say that would be an end to his driving privileges at the minimum. Who knows though if anything will even happen after this review or if the boss will even acknowledge. Y'all have a great day :)))
