When ordering inside, it is very quick and they have sofas for you to sit and wait. Parmo's and their kebab meat is also excellent, the Parmo's always have the right amount of everything (I recommend trying their hot shot Parmo) and their Kebab meat is always very thin and soft, (not chunky like some pizza shops). The prices are very reasonable for the quality that you get, and their inferno pizza is the best I've ever had!.

They didn't have what my mum wanted from the drinks menu, so they offered her a similar (more expensive) drink for the same price, which I thought was very good service. For starters we had cooked dough balls, which I have to say were magnificent, they come with a gorgeous dip, I could have kept eating them but decided I had better actually try a pizza. I can't remember the name of the one I had, but it was the one with the fried egg on top, which was lovely, and all the family enjoyed theirs also. Overall had a brilliant experience at Pizza Express and would definitely go again.

It also looks quite posh compared to Pizza Hut too but the atmosphere is always friendly. Their pizza bases are vegan and I recommend a cheese-less pizza with the chargrilled veggies, yummy!

I had the 'special' pizza duck with hoi sin sauce and spring onions which was very good. I usually can't finish a whole pizza, but this one went down very easily! The door isn't labelled well, but I'm a trailblazing type and wasn't hampered. The outdoor seating, which is really close to the river and bridge and was where I really wanted to sit, is closed at this time of year. It was a gorgeous day; however, they gave a good reason, May flies. The waitress I had was polite, and she was quick to bring me a drink, served with a lemon. I ordered garlic grossini(?) and a lasagna. To really test an Italiano Ristorante, you should always order the lasagna--if their lasagna is no good, chances are the rest won't be that good either. Kudos to the wait staff... though I ordered a Coca Cola, the couple sitting near me ordered red wine. The waitress asked them if they'd like to taste the wine before they bought the bottle... classy and consumer oriented. Kudos, Bella Italia, kudos. So, the dishes came really fast. It was almost too fast, but since I was in a party of 1, that was fine. They were excellent--by far the best Italian food that I've had in the United Kingdom. The lasagna was at probably 6 layers: two noodle layers, two sauce layers, a creamy ricotta/soft cheese layer, and a mozzarella layer dressed with fresh herbs. It was really good lasagna, and the portion was large. The garlic bread was surprisingly similar to traditional American style breadsticks... topped with a garlic pesto that was quite amazing. The dishes were quite salty, but I don't mind. The price tag was a little high, but it was a fancy eat-in joint in a premiere location. Not bad after all.

A delivery service is available and orders generally arrive within a reasonable time and still piping hot. If you choose to go in and order the shop is pleasantly done out. The decor is all new as the shop was refitted before recently opening. Whenever I pass it looks clean and fresh with pale coloured tiles and a beanch to sit while you wait. The pizzas and garlic bread are good. Slightly greasy but then I do find that to be the case with most take away pizza places. Prices are reasonable. By way of example, a large pizza and a large cheese garlic bread delieverd cost just over £12 There are quite a few veggie options in the pizzas and of course you can choose toppings to make up your own pizza. Large pizzas can be made half and half to share. If you would like your pizza without cheese (as I sometimes do) they are happy to do tht for you too. Basically very accomodating. Well worth a try if you are in the area and fancy a pizza!
