Excellent sandwiches and soup of the day! A perfect spot for a quick lunch in Aalborg. The carrot cake was a great finale to the meal.

Super hyggeligt café with eclectic and insta worthy photo opportunities. I came with a friend and…read morewe ordered the Hole in One tea. One pot was enough for two of us. And the longer the tea steeped, the tastier it got! I wish I bought some to take home. It's got a light licorice flavor with some fruity notes and a dry sweet finish. We shared a berry tart and hvede bun. Both were super fresh and delicious. The hvede is just a boring looking bun but it's got a hint of cardamom and paired with their organic butter? Divine. Their berry tart was perfect. The cream was fresh, light, and not too sweet. We sat in comfy chairs and lounged in the sunlight for awhile. If I lived here, this would be my goto spot.

The upstairs seating is nice with a relaxed atmosphere and the service is nice & friendly. But, and this is a big but. Their espresso based coffees are very bad. My cappuccino was drowned in cocoa powder and sugar on top of the foam and the coffee tasted burned and very bitter. Not good enough when it's called a coffee bar. Had it not been for all the other things, this would have been a 1 star review, judging from the coffee alone.

We asked in English, sorry, our Danish is not good enough yet, if we could eat outside, they said yes, but we had to order in the counter, so we asked for a menu and they gave us a drink menu, no food menu, my husband had to go and get one himself, then the staff were taking people that had come after us, one asked the guy to go to the side and the other was taking orders to from the couple behind us, so I nicely moved to the side so that it would not be awkward that she was talking over us. Then other staff kept waking behind the counter and no intension whatsoever about taking our orders. There was only the written menu on the board outside. Very disappointing, I guess as a foreign in Aalborg, it was not a good feeling. First time I've felt like an outsider in Aalborg after 7 months living here, all other restaurants have been very service/customer oriented. Really good with making a customer feel welcomed.
