I have had an account with Abbey since I opened a student account. I have to say I probably should have changed banks since then as now I am older I use the account a lot more and often have to go into the branch. I find the staff to be extremly varied. There are some members of staff who are very friendly and helpful, then there are some members of staff who really don't want to be there, or at least they give that impression. They seem to be unable to use their paperwork system correctly. I have been in three times to change my address with them and each time something has gone wrong. Saying that there are a few members of staff, some are new, that could not do more to help me on my various trips with different questions and requests. The buliding its self is usually clean and tidy and there are two cash points inside as well as one outside. There is also a nice wooden bead maze toy for children to play with and two sofas for customers to sit in. Service could be faster and certain members of staff could be a little more polite and helpful. read more
